not a ford believe it or not bmw 330ci on a x plate just had the alternator fitted as it wasnt working properly, tried starting up, now it wont start any ideas

 

have you checked that all the earths have gone back on and did you disconnect the battery b4 doing the alternator. i had one in my work shop the other day that had a voltage regulator problem and it had blown the ecu because of power spikes

 

cheers for the replies abselutely evrything ahs been checked a million times, ive heard that when the battery completely dies you need the code resetting as the immobeliser and or other systems kick in, this can only be done at a bmw dealer is this true
