i have recentley just had a new bottom end on my ford fiesta and the head has also had a major overhaul, but one ov my injectors is sticking on,i have been told by a mechanic that did my car at stockton performance center in the north east that i can you cossie injectors on my setup i was just wondering if this was true and what advice would be the best ones to use in my car.thanx
Its not good practice to fit larger capacity injectors if there is no chip, as they will have a higher flow rate. And if you do have a chip, sounds like hes trying to get a bit of crafty cash out of you as the chip will need re-mapping due to the different flow rate the injectors will have.
I have a set of standard blues if that helps you out and you aren't going to upgrade injectors.

i dont think its just down to flows etc
i dont think standard frst ofab/ofac will run cossie injectors even with a chip
totaly differant impedance
you could do it but i would think you would need aftermarket ecu as running the wrong imp injectors will just keep popping ecu after ecu
sorry for the bad news and i would like some 1 to please comfirm this
thanks

You can run cossie injectors lots of people do to the best of my knowledge, impedence is only really of concern if its a lower impedence, which effectively is like making a short, higher impedence shouldnt prove too much of a problem.
Of course the flow rate is critical, if you put injectors with a higher rate of flow on and the ecu is still running the same cycle duty then there is going to be tons more fuel going in, if fitting bigger injectors without a reason then the duty cycle needs lowering to keep the fuelling right.
