Default sierra crank ps 18 cvh. can this be used to run on a l6 ecu?

as above i assume the 1800cvh sierra sensor can be used instead of the original cosworth sensor. I have machined the original pick up wheel down to 4 teeth and used the alloy crank sensor bracket(cover) as this looks factory.
dont know if the polarity is different between the 2 sensors but they both rely on breaks in the magnetic feild so i cant see them giving a different signal to the ecu?

You can use it, inductive sensors produce an AC signal so there is no polarity

awesome just fitted a 1800 cvh pully which was a tight fit had to take the engine mount off and jack the engine up just to fit the pully !and i have machined 3 mm off the pully edge.

Hmmmm they are a tight fit, i was going to do this, but decided to go with a EFI flywheel and drill my block.

i thought about doing that but got away with the sierra stuff as if you have a problem it is much more eaisily rectified!
why drill the block thought you just mod the f wheel to run the 4 pick ups rather than the ford trigger system?

The late S2 blocks had the CPS hole apparently.
