Default 3 door missfire

Just seeing if anyone can help or has the same problem, My cossie has a misfire!!! Now ive changed the leads,plugs,rota arm and ive also changed the phase sensor as the old one was nakered!!! I still have the missfire and ive also got aload of black crap comming out the exhaust,the cars running stage 1 ,i have been told its over fueling would this cause the misfire if so how do you set the fueling up or can anyone recomend the best place to take the car too in essex ??


Any help would be great

Sounds like a live map needed to me if you can travel then NMS i`d say but there also Mark Shead MA DEVELOPMENTS

Coolant Temp Sensor Checking - info courtesy of Simon @ SECS
1) Ensure ignition is OFF.
2) Remove rear of ecu plug cover and insert plug back into ecu.
3) Turn ignition back on (do not start engine)
4) Check resistance between pins 29 and 11. Should be 800 to 5000 ohms (depends on temp). If outside this range, check sensor and/or wiring.

a mate fixed a 3dr that was running poorly,he used to do work for RED and anyway he did something to the crank sensor and cured it,the car had had leads plugs dizzy and then a rebuild,sensor cost nothing and took 5 mins,car dealer who owned the car was

I had the same problem with my 3dr changed everything you listed above but it turned out to be the ignition amplifier.......

Ive got in booked in for mapping next sat, £350 is this a good price as i dont really understand all this mapping stuff tbh what it involves etc???
