Default power steering

hi

don't know if any 1 can help me

i have a mk5b cab fitted a 2.0 zetec engine running Tb's omex ecu

the problem i have got is the steering

its sounds very nosie on any lock or just moving the steering wheel abit

i have replaced the rack and the pump

on the pipe from the rack to the pump
there is a valve or a pressure switch wot did go to the ford ecu

I don't know a lot about power steering but im fairly sure thats a purge valve of somesorts. Its there for a reason........if its not connected then it could well be the problem.

It was a pressure switch for the ecu to raise idle rpm to cope with the extra load when turning the wheel. Removing it won't be the cause of the noise. Are you sure the noise is coming from the rack, what about the steering column or top mounts?
