my van has just come back from the set up guys and they said turn down the boost strange thing is that its running 18psi on a standerd ecu had the fuel head rebuilt and fueling ok its not running lean know im gona fit my chip again and wanting to run an 12-14psi of boost will this be ok and do you just take the arm off and wind it out or in just want to know chears all

 

Theres no way its running 18psi without a chip, if theres no chip it will hit the boost limit at 10psi assuming its got an RST lump.

If you've got a bleed valve which im guessing it has adjust that.

anywayz the engine is an rst we spoke to other day iput the conrod out me block not so good?
i then took the bleed valve off and took the chip out to and isaid to you the other day about boost gauges lieing
mine must be lieing
basicly as itold you the other day i alittle gesitant on acceration iv took it up to 3/12-4k but idont want to push her any more what do i do run the standed ecu or what?????

 

stop stop stop!!!!!!! what are you doing? several well knowledged people have given you advice! and you are not listening! forget 18 psi on stdrd chip IT DONT HAPPEN! end of....unless some clever little genius has gone into your ecu and cut the leg on the chip that conrols the over boost setting, but then at 18 psi you would completely melt your pistons in 30 seconds as the standard chip cant deal with the fuel demand so what you need to do again is....

throw your gauge in the bin! put a new one in!

put your chipped ecu in the car!

put the - 31 actuator on the turbo!

NOW GO TO YOUR NEAREST TUNER AND GET IT SET UP PROPERLY!!!!

 

by the way.. make the actuator longer for less boost and shorter for more boost

 

write guy have done all of what you said put the boost down to 11 psi with the chip??? my old gauge was a shit and it now live in the bin???must be a faulty spring or somthing have booked up my tunner and it going in nexted week??he said you can drive around but dont use thew turbo to much???thanks for the replys thow chears barry

 

Personally i wouldn't drive it at all until you go to the tuner.....
