hello, my s2 has a few running issues one of which is when you start it from cold it fires up straight away ticks over for a few seconds then dies, however when you go to start it again if you hold the revs up when it starts for about a minute it will tick over fine, sometimes if you rev it up and let the revs drop when cold it cuts out...? throttle body need cleaning? cold start valve? where do i start lol

clean your throttle body,

take all the plugs off the sensors and clean them with contact cleaner.

check all breather and vac pipes, manifold pipe conections.

make sure the fuel metering unit is free to move and is not sticky and slow (the flap)

And i would also check the fuel pressure is being maintained after switch off....

 

its only from cold tho, as once its warmed up it starts fine however if left for say 6 hours or more it cuts out once then starts, where can i get a fuel pressure gauge?
