Right the engine will start, it will run. But it wont idle and its misfires if held in low revs. It will run to its hearts content at 3k rpm+. Theres a bit of a wierd clicking coming from cylinder 1s area. Sounds like the plug is earthing out, but is very loud so it cant be that.
Fuel system is fully functional. All new plugs, rotor arm is new, diz cap is newish, leads are getting on a bit but all plugs are getting a spark.

Any ideas as to why it sounds rough and wont idle?

check the follower arms they tend to wear also have had one with a crack in it and this made a weird clicking noise also makes them run like a bag of shit
