More photos, etc... I had so many problems with leaks, etc... when fitting mine that I though it'd be useful to share my experience.

Parts required:
-Group A (044) fuel pump
-Group A adapter kit (more on that later)
-New fuel filter
-4x copper washers from ford (finis code F6153071) - Fuel filter washers, 32p each + VAT.
-2x copper washers from ford (finis code F6054981) - Fuel pump washers, 27p each + VAT.
-A bonded seal or dowty washer (Part number Q-18 from Pirtek - www.pirtek.com) - again, more on that later.

Remove old pump
It probably will look as sorry as this one

Now, if you look at the original and compare with the group A pump, you'll notice a difference on the right hand side
Old

New

This is where the adapter kit comes in handy:

However, it probably will come with a pretty useless aluminium washer (mine did) which is very likely to leak (mine did).
In Martin Hadland's words "The kit was never designed for this purpose."

Best thing to do, is to get yourself one of these nifty washers from a local hydraulics company (got mine from Pirtek). It's an 18mm inner diameter Dowty seal or bonded seal.]

Where the aluminium washer is a very loose fit, this baby fits on like a glove

No need to grease up the o-ring or anything, just do it up nice and tight - and job done - no leaks

Here's a picture of the Group A pump with the adapter fitted

Now, all you need to do, is replace the fuel filter and re-fit all the hoses as they were originally, remembering to replace the old copper washers with new (see list at the top of the post).
Copper washers here:

And here:

That's it, pretty simple really, once you have the right parts.

Just one last thing, a little WD40 on the adapter kit's hose fitting prior to pushing it into the fuel tank feed hose will help it slide in easily, it's pretty tight otherwise
