Wrinkle walls and Hoosiers are almost 100% certain to be illegal for the "road legal " category's though.
ie, no cross ply ET streets ( or similar ) They want radial tyres, with a full tread pattern. Some drag radials may fall under that banner. The Hoosiers will defo not.
The drag radial versions are still undecided, although being 2wd, I'd be keen to have them retained.
Forcing E- marked tyres to make them 100% road legal is a decision many want, but that point seems pedantic given how many clearly non road legal cars enter the event, MOT or not.
Obviously this would give the 4wd runners an even larger advantage.
It is almost pointless entering a 2wd car, as unless it was a custom built mid engined racer, it would have virtually no chance against the 4wd race cars that enter.
Although the points system may be changing to give indivual class winners more credit.
