Marco
You are the type of person that makes Cossies an Icon, If we qualify I would be proud to be in the same team as you, as you know I have great respect for what you acheive on a limited budget.

Rod,
When (notice I don't say "if") you qualify, will you then be willing to be in the "team"?

My circumstances have changed Mike although I cant say how at this mo.
I need permission from my Bank Manager (budget agreed for 2007) from the Missus ( Shes agreed which surprised me) & Mark .
Mark genuinely dont like this event & considers my car un-suitable, tends to lean towards the EVO boys at such an event & is there for Keith as well, so im down the pecking order, but I will work on it. .
Rod

ps. Please Dont give me stick if Mark is otherwise tied up for this event,
I drive my car on the street, but not in competition , its 15 years too late for me. Ive driven at 200mph & will give my son the chance to do the same (not too many have done that) & thats where my ambitions stop im afraid.

Rod,
You know how much I respect your achievements, so no worries. Will put all three of you down, as the 2wd boys need to be shown some fast cars .

Mike,

where's it being held this year? Brunters have quite a low sound limit now.

Get some qualifying times down and then we can see how you compare to the UK boys .

At the moment the list is just for qualifying and you won't need to come to the UK to do that (unless you WANT to) .

Mike i think Ade means the qualifiers, please dont say Brunters because all the Big horse cars will fail, even Vmax cant be held there now & thats for road cars.
If you have told us this already remember im senile .

We'll probably have to go to Woodbridge for the qualifying, as I had hear about the low noise limits imposed at Brunters last year - 89dB is pretty much precluding anything with a T4 or bigger .

Cossiemanden can you ask owner of this car to come te totb??
It's got 750+ Hp schould be proper fast has run low 10's before.

What about the blue gabat escort from germany it's got 700 hp and has run 10's on the dragstrip
With these cars and the other car whe schould have a kick ass team.
Tib good luck whit breaking the 10 seconds barrier on the strip this year.

Will try to get in touch with him in the week, and yes, it has run an 10,21 last year as best.

The noise limits imposed on Brunters will be the final decider.

And Euen, you haven't got any standing quarter times for your car .

Not BHP, grip.

400bhp would be enough if 99% of cossies didnt run on 205 wide tyres, standard viscous rear diff, and about about 25degrees of negative camber when thew squat.

Very true though

although i've just swapped my 245's for set of 215 yoko paradas which are very very good in the dry.

got 420bhp at the mo,and will have over 450bhp in the not too distant future.......tbh i'll be over the moon with a mid 12 as it is

it doesn't sit too low and the rear is 'fairly' firm so hopefully it won't squat tooooo much,oh and i have an ATB so that should help a little bit too...

I did a 12.64 @ 115mph with 385bhp (on T34 0.48 a/r and 4 x 803s), that was with the standard 90,000 mile rear diff at the time as well .
