Thanks for lending me the engine hoist last summer. I was looking at your story on the cossie and 10/10 for dedication. Todays news is not so good. You may like to see the completed article here and I must drop in and give you a shotty.

No problem with lending you the hoist, its there to be used.

Car looks good and yes feel free to pop in past and let me have a look around it.

Any news on the new baby Hunter yet? not seen steve or heard from him for a few days so thinking something might be happening.

Not heard anything. Whats the performance of the car the way it is (apart from the recent failure)? My Escort Cosworth was a standard small turbo so it was a bit slow to be honest, your car looks like it might be slighly improved! The 22B is about 310 bhp but the most impressive factor is the 8mpg that it seems to average when getting tharashed a bit.

 

Nige the performance should be around the 300 mark ATM but once i get my new board i will get it rolling roaded to give me a better idea. Building a new engine as we speak to take a reliable 400

The pain is not actually knowing what the problem is, if i did then i would just get on and get it sorted.
Had the thing out last night to the Scrutineering for the Granite and not one sign of smoke anywhere

 

wouldnt be some oil just lying about ????

Thought it might be some lying around in the exhaust so im going to give it a Łucking good toasting over the Cairn O Mount some time soon and see if that dose the trick

 

seems like you might be ok Paul, wasn't smoking when you left it running yesterday either

Oh and we got to the bottom of my problem last night! was going to try it without the thermostat and managed to see in the pump from there, and the impellers was starting to move along the shaft onto the inside of the casing
So then it got totally stripped and hopefully get a new pump today!
