Right another small update,
another package arrived today containing my new pre-turbo filter with re-location pipes (thanks to Mike Rainbird ) This should be fitted tomorrow and then i will get the head lifted on
Spent a bit of time getting the Intercooler and Radiator back up into position, god its tight for space with that oil cooler pipes in there.
So im now ready to fit the front part of the undertray and get the bumper back on once i get a new outside Temp sensor
Some pics.
Pre-Turbo filter kit
Couple of pics of how tight it is for space in there
Everything bolted up in place awaiting the undertray and bumper
And the sensor that i broke

How come such a small oil cooler? I'm right in thinking that's for the engine oil aren't I? I have a 13 row cooler on my Zetec Turbo Fiesta, I'd have thought you'd want something much more substantial on that, specially with so much available space to mount it!

There is actually very little space for the cooler if i want to keep all the "road stuff" like washer bottle ect as i could have removed it and fitted a much bigger one there. I did fit a larger one in the same place as i have this one but with the pipes fitted it hung down to low stopping the undertray from bolting up there are pics on one of the earlier pages.
As for it being substantial it should be better than the Std water cooled one which will do me fine

Fair enough! I actually had problems with elevated oil temps with prolonged hard use higher up in the rev range, so the oil cooler was necessary. If yours is more of a precaution then I suppose something that size will be just fine! Does all look a bit fiddly and tight down there now!

Pic of the front part of the undertray fitted.
You can see how tight it is for space for the cooler and pipe unions now that its in place. Could not fit it the other way round with the pipes at the bottom either as it sits in behind the lower grill of the bumper where it is
Couple of pics of the head just waiting to go on will get that done tomorrow night

Ok tonights work.
My brother came up to the garage and gave me a lift with the Cyl Head (cheers Niki ) so its on and all bolted down
Done the timing and fitted the bumper and all the pluff that goes with it and will get cracking tomorrow night getting everything plumed and connected.
Pic of how it looked at the start of the night
And how it looked at the end of play

Ok,
Went out at lunch time today and got going again.
Fitted the rocker cover, changed the oil, fitted the new wheel studs and attached all the pipes, wires ect.
Couple of pics of mid operation
Almost there, at the stage of cranking it over to get the oil primed through everything
Plugs in, Turbo oil feed fitted and it fired up on the button
I will fit the turbo filter using P-Clips once the cam cover is fitted. will be left off untill i check the belt tension after i've put some miles on it
Let it run up to temp, checked all the fluid levels and was super chuffed to see that it still has good oil pressure
Finally, took it for a run so early indications are that it is fine. will give it a good clean tomorrow and try and get some miles on it
Now, do i put the centre caps back on the wheels or leave them off?
quite like them as they are but not 100% sure

As said above to C1ARK i'm just not convinced either way

Job done!! Car looks brilliant, and the oil cooler looks good up front Looks like you need a new sig though Paul! The wheels do look good with and without centre caps, guess you might as well leave them off for a bit, see how they grow on you. Top work!
