UPDATE
Collected the block last night along with crank, pulleys, rods, pistons, clutch and flywheel. Just packed all these up to be machined and balanced.
As the car is detailed in the pictures this is the mock engine still, so bare block and head with the rest of the parts attached.
Almost there now with the fabrication of the external waste gate.
This should be sorted by the weekend where I will then empty the engine bay of all parts. Firstly though moving the rad/intercooler foward as the rad fans are fairly close to the new equal length manifold.
Next on the list then is to make all the brake lines and trim the chassis back, bottom pulley is really close now with the dry sump kit..
Hoping to have the engine built up and back in before crimbo. As still loads to get done for Feb

Received a text from Jim@JKM tonight and the external wastegate is all fabricated now!
Will be having a closer look tomorrow when I head down there. Then its time for me to remove the engine and empty the bay ready for some other mods to be carried out.
Shall update more over the weekend.
Bloody Marvelous job though on the wastegate... VERY happy!!!

10K+ Poster!!
Looking good, the only thing I never understand is why people do not use a flexi pipe on the pipe from the wastegate back into the downpipe ? My Audi ran one as standard
As tidy as it looks to me that just looks like a weak spot, its certainly a hell of a different car to the original build though !

Zircotec maybe well involved and some heat sheilding.

UPDATE
Well today I went to JKM to have a look closely at the wastegate set up and im very very impresssed. With all this fabricatednow the mock engine was able to be removed. So I spent the afternoon tinkering.
After 10 mins the front end was off.
Then within half hour we had one naked trolley engine bay
All moving along nicely now, this weeks task is front brake brackets and plumb in the new brake pedal box.
