M4DRST "The Trolley" - Ford Fair 2013
#2201
Good afternoon campers!
Yes will be looking to add some more carbon onto the trolley with intentions of saving more weight where possible.
Front wings with the front arch molded into it.
Hopefully with slightly broader stance to accept wider wheel/tire options.
Progress has commenced this week at JKM with bits so will update all going well at the weekend when I pop in and have a look.

Sounds great!Wouldn't mind a set for my car. Luke if you have a spare minute can you send me someinfo on your driveshafts, measurements etc via PM? Simon has never done a set for a fiesta and he could only think of your car.
Cheers.

Adam - Im afraid I dont have the measurments to hand anymore
If you contact John from Dave Mac proshafts he may have this on file.
I would suggest though measuring your set up once all installed to be 100% sure.
My front shocks run with camber built into the legs + adjustable lower arms and adjustable top mounts so these slight differences may not work on your cars setup.
John will advise on how to measure or you can chop and weld some "dummy" shafts to see what fits best.
Bearing in mind I fucked up twice with my "Fisher Price" tape measure
I run with st170 cv joints so my drive shafts are splined to that fitment... they can machine these to any spline pattern so you can run existing hub/cv joint type.

Ok mate thanks very much for that info, I'm too far away to be measuring anything now! It'llbe simon that will be doing the measuring, I see what you mean about the camber etc. Mine is standard at the moment.

Just got back from JKM where work is being done.
The dry sump kit has been fettled with and a new bottom pulley bolt/washer machined up to accept the drive pulley. This now means I can send the bottom end off to be machined and balenced next week.
Once thats done its build up before crimbo.
Currently the exhaust manifold has been modded as it was sat on the rad fans.
New flange, conical bits (tech term I know not ) and a little fettling sees the manifold back on the head.
The turbo is now sat in its location and the Tial wastegate over the next couple of days will see its new home grafted into place. EXCITING TIMES!
Still a mammoth job ahead mind but im getting back into as I know the new year will soon be upon us.
Some pics of the Trolley as of tonight.

JKM is owned by a close friend and I have the utmost faith in there work aswell as friendship, so this helps GREATLY!
There main focus as a business is on VAG powered cars but Jim has a soft spot for some Fords and will take on bespoke work...
BIG NYK (180mph Capri) he also has all work carried out by JKM on his car apart from the actual engine build which was MADevelpments.
JKM built the the car and all associated parts that were fabricated.
You about the weekend, I fancy bike Saturday at somepoint..
Argh cheers you Northern Monkey
Il call you tomorrow im foooked tonight

UPDATE
Collected the block last night along with crank, pulleys, rods, pistons, clutch and flywheel. Just packed all these up to be machined and balanced.
As the car is detailed in the pictures this is the mock engine still, so bare block and head with the rest of the parts attached.
Almost there now with the fabrication of the external waste gate.
This should be sorted by the weekend where I will then empty the engine bay of all parts. Firstly though moving the rad/intercooler foward as the rad fans are fairly close to the new equal length manifold.
Next on the list then is to make all the brake lines and trim the chassis back, bottom pulley is really close now with the dry sump kit..
Hoping to have the engine built up and back in before crimbo. As still loads to get done for Feb
