Well after months of trying to save some money to get the tyres fitted to my shiny spangly RS7's, I finally got a chance lol..


Have a small reminder of the wheels..

















I dug them out the loft and unpacked them out of their boxes to remind myself of how Fantastic they look.. I have had the wheels for nearly a year and a half pmsl..


I had 195/45R16's fitted as i thought that the 205's would be a tad too wide for the S1 arches.. But my Mate watched the 1st one go on to see if it looked too stretched as the RS7 is a 7'' Rim, If it was too stretched then we had 205's in reserve lol..















Finally got a break in the bad weather and got the wheels on!!















Yeah Baby!!!!

Ok some good and bad news.. Good news is!! The rear arches are fine and will not need any modification, However the front wings will.. Not alot mind, So not really a long task!!

But overall a good fit...


So should see some progress on the outside of the shell very shortly!!

Love those wheels. Would like to get them for my new ST but they're very rare here.

I've got some in 15" with 195/45R15 on my XR2, look very good. Might just need 5-10 mm spacers...

 

I know of someone over here who has a set possibly for sale.. I can make some enquires if you like Mate..

one question are all those body panels genuine if so where did you get them could of done with a posts and quarters myself but had to make em instead

 

Genuine panels are..

Front panel
Front wings
Bonnet
Both chassis legs
OS Door
Both 1/4 panels

Pattern panels are..

Front crossmember
Hinge panels
Scuttle panel
Battery tray
Fuse box panel
Rear inner arches
Rear panel


The 1/4 panels are for mk4 escort.. Only difference being where the bumper mounts, You have to drill/cut out the square hole for the side of the bumper (not done mine yet lol)

Used the whole OSF chassis leg but only used the upper section on th NSF as i could only get hold of a MK4 leg which is different at the fron where the front panel mounts..

I did want to fit A-posts but were unavailable unfortunately..


All the Genuine stuff i got from my local Ford dealer (dont know what supply would be like now) and all the pattern stuff was a mix and match between Hadrian panels and SSVQ..

aposts are rare as rocking horse s**t we didn't need to go so deep with ours so most of the shell is original but with refabricated areas.

yours is going to be a stunner when finished you truly have gone to town.
