S1 Restoration LOL
Right, Not sure where to start tbh!!
Loads happened since, well most within the last 3 weeks lol..
Firstly got hold of a set of 16'' RS7 spokes that i have been searching intently for like an eternity.. Hadn't picked them up with the intention of collecting the best example in the world.. just glad to get a set..

After a refurb..

Just got to sort some tyres out now!!
Got the chance to get her into work to finish off the repairs from last time and to get the bodywork ready for paintwork although this will be happening elsewhere!!

All settled in and ready for some work in the morning!!
To be continued..
Cheers - Phil

Continued..
Main task 1st of all was to finish of all the previous repairs as i'd ran out of time the last time!!
So the 1st day was spent finishing off..

OS a-pillar

Finished in primer..

Os roof section.

Found a bit of previous repair under the paint

Filling in roof welds, most people just cut in the 1/4 panels below the guttering.. Full 1/4 panel put in..

1/4 joins finished off..

Rear os floorpan abused by jacking and left to the weather!!

After a bit of cleaning up.

Drivers seat anchoring area cracked and worn away, probably as a result of a loose seat..

Bit of good ole lead going in..

What damage..!!

Both areas ready for paint.

Osr wheel arch finished and sealed up..

Os 1/4 panel finished and sealed..

Rear panel too..

To be continued..

Moving onto the other side!!

Ns a-pillar.

Finished in primer..

An attempt by a previous owner to angle grind out some rust and just left part way though..

Plated.

Ohh another part finished bit of grinding!!

Primed..

And sealed..

1/4 joins finished..

As far as i know, This is the only difference between mk3 & mk4 1/4 panels, the Striker plate holder/reinforcer plate is different and had to be modified..

Nsr wheel arch finished and sealed..

Found some more previous damage to the roof

Dunno the point of this mig weld, I'd imagine that it is a guide for the filler lol..
To be continued..

First time ever i got a chance to get the car up in the air, have never really had a proper look at the underside!!

Nice tank!!

Bootfloor area not too bad, bit of surface rust.. nowt to worry about atm.

Overall.. Not too bad condition for a 22 year old lol, i was expecting a lot more rust tbh..

The underside was not too bad but as i wanted the car to last and not have to be restored again for a long time.. I decided that i would remove all the stone guard and check out the floor..
Then prime up, re-seal and apply new stoneguard..

Just had the centre of the floor to grind back and prime up!!

Right thats me nearly up to date..

From last bit of work..

Had to re-do fusebox area and she hasnt even been out on the road lol..

Another repair..

More dents..

The black is finally going gradually..
Have been snapping up loads of new parts whenever funds will allow, These so far are my fave investment..

Still gotta get another spindle and drop the rear subframe and anti roll bar down for getting them shotblasted and then either enammeled or powdercoated (not sure what yet!!)
Anyhow, thats me up to date for now!!
Thanks for taking the time to look..
