I know lol, thiough I'm guessing by looking at it, you used a urethane "cold" kit, as opposed to heat and "sticks"

No i used heat (hot air gun) and sticks (strips of plastic cut from another panel ), then used a flattening tool on a soldering gun to tidy it up.

MINI UPDATE

Been working on my new turbo this week.

Its a large Escos T34.
Needs a bit of re-working to get it to fit properly and i've had to make up a new actuator bracket for it,

A few pics so far

Standard Escort RS Turbo T3 on the left.....New T34 on the right.

Tomorrow i hope to get all the interior of the car finished so hopefully by the end of the weekend i will have a BIG update.
And if my head gasket turns up i will have a MASSIVE update.

But you know how it goes, it will probably rain and i won't get any work done

Very nice

I don't think your paint will stay on there long though before it flakes, especially with ALS

Not done anywork on the car myself this weekend, instead i sent my girlfriend out to work and this is what she got done ------>

Interior is nearly all finished off now, just have to put the door cards on and finish some wiring off.

Got my new head gasket on Saturday.
Copper with stainless steel compression rings, should be able to run some big boooooost now.

Head back on and new turbo in place, have more room between the turbo and rad as well now as the Actuator sits under the turbo rather than to the front.

Car could be ready for National Day if i could get it MOT'd.

that car is, just
WOW you really are pretty good at this stuff anit ya,
that is 1 monster turbo you will make scooby drivers go home and cry! the engine bay looks pukka as well, ive seen so many s2 rst and other cars in general that are build to great spec, lots of shiny stuff but even when its a concorse car many dont make under the hood look neat and tidy, but you have so your car is as near perfect as it can get, only 1 car is better and thats a series leaf sprung landy like mine

Good luck with the rest of the build, and pray to god you dont introduce it to a tree or the arse end of a my landy, got a heafty chunk of steel there. then again that turbo is pretty big could do some damage

this is my landy
http://home.btconnect.com/cossierep/Lara_3.3.04_3.JPG

thats what she looked like when i got her, she is slighty different now, no seats in back or aerial on wing but thats about it

Yeah its the new Ferriday gasket, i believe i'm the first to get my hands on one and i know for sure i'm the first to use it with Stainless Steel compression rings, its a really well made gasket ~ lets hope its up to te job.

The stuff i was spraying on the gasket is "copper head gasket cement", due to how hard the gasket is it is very difficuly to seal minor imperfections in the block face or head so you have to use that stuff, its really really sticky, like super glue.

Trouble with wheels is its difficult to be different and not spoil the look of the car etc, i'd of liked a set of OZ super-T's but everyone has them.

I had to have 16's or over for the breakes as well.

I got the covers from www.car-interior.co.uk and fitted them myself.

Na had to buy it seperatly. Was about Ł7 a tin.

I also had stainless steel compression rings which were Ł9 each.

Its still a new product and never tested before, however its what is used in real high power turbo and nitrous cars, is also used a lot in drag cars.

I'll keep people updated on how well it holds up

Matt.

Car is not ready for MOT yet, got problems with the brake hoses not sealing and the Servo has gone, got to get the exhaust sorted out for the new turbo as well before its ready.

Looks like it will not make national day now

Was just a tin of Halfords Exhaust Manifold paint.

Doubt it will last very long at all, but its worth a try to stop if from going rusty and horrible.
