Out of interest i was just wondering if you could tell me what make of clutch you are running? If its a paddle is it sprung or unsprung? Cerametallic or Organic? Have you had any problems with clutch slip? And finally is it a alloy cover or a standard style cover?

All will become apparent soon. Don't worry, it's not quite as serious a change of direction as perhaps I made it sound.

Here is a glimpse inside to see that the collector has been fettled nicely.....
Now, although I have tried really hard to get this all sorted in time for the Rolling Road Day. I really don't think it is worth rushing it all together for this. So, I plan to give the map a quick going over so that I can run the car on Sunday and start the ftting of the Manifold next week. I don't expect to make much over 300bhp on Sunday as I don't want to waste alot of time on the map as it will need remapping for this new manifold!!
So, what do you think??

Well, I had really hope to get the latest batch of mods completed in time for National Day, but it really doesn't look likely. Real shame, since its the main show of the year for me.
I have got pictures of what's going on, but not sure whether to post them or wait until it's a little more advanced......

OK, update time.
I have had a rethink of the manifold scenario. Mainly because I 'tripped' over a manifold that I really liked the look of. It is a MONSTER. 3mm wall, TIG-welded, proper hardcore......
.....so, I set about cutting the original flange off and having had a 13mm Flange laser cut for the CVH. It then took an evening of fettling and wrestling to get it ready for welding. I then had it TIG-welded and test-fitted it. I had the new exhaust housing in my possesion and also the benefit of an engine on a stand to work with. All seemed well......
Until I saw how little room I had to fit a downpipe in!!
Bugger. So, back to the drawing board. I had an idea from the start, but due to the work involved, was desperately trying to avoid it. However, I concluded yesterday that there really is no other way.
More to follow.........

So, grabbing the bull by the horns, I set about making a mock-up for the relocation bracket for my Alternator. Yes, that's right, I am moving the Alternator!! It is going to the rear of the engine.......
So, now I have a wooden version of the bracket ready to go to the machiners to be made. I'm certainly not in the clear with this yet, I haven't tried it on the car and can see at least 2 area's of concern. I have my fingers crossed.
Anyway, getting the alternator out of the way, leaves me with a bit of flexibility as to what I can do with the downpipe. So, after another Turbine housing rethink and a custom outlet adaptor being machined to allow me to run a V-Banded downpipe (for ease of removal). My current downpipe has this, but the new one is much better.......

Next up, I dug out the job load of Stainless bends I had bought several weeks ago. These are Hygienic grade brushed Stainless mandrel elbows. I have also added a 3" Flexy section this time, to make it all a bit nicer and more reliable.
None of the elbows that you can see in this pic were used 'as-is', all had to be cut and altered to the perfect shape and it has all been done on the 'other' engine, so, who knows what it will actually ben like on the car. I have carried out all the work very carefully and having taken lots of measurements though.
Man, I hope this works. There is still no guarantee that this set-up will even yield any improvements. It is nothing more than a big expensive risk at the moment......
I desperately wanted this done in time for National Day, but I just don't think I have the time. There is still alot to be done. I am doing my best, but also loving just driving the car as it is, which I have been doing for some months now, even with perhaps less power than the car has made.
However, as if the prospect of getting it done in time for National Day wasn't hard enough, the gearbox shat itself today.
Fucker.
So, tomorrow night will be spent removing that, when I could have been moving forward with these latest developments.
Poopy.

Thanks Adam.
Truthfully, the purpose of this isn't necessarily any more power, in all honesty, 350bhp is quite enough, but it would be nice to do it with perhaps less boost, better boost control and maybe less lag.
To get one or more of those factors along with a reliable 350bhp and I would be happy.

You have taken the 1.6 to places most people didnt think possible, so you are the right person to try and see what can be done trying newer things
