I bought a zetec Turbo blacktop yes with eagle rods and pistons ..but never fitted so sold.it on to a lad down Devon way and was told it did good numbers .

Need to get this sitting a little better once it's set up ..really like them though ..the RL7 suit the car imo .

 

Just perfect imo the car the zetec turbo was destined for was from less of here white 90 spec s2 I got anthracite rl7's for it got pics somewhere so that look for me is it mate

 

 

Thanks mate ..fixed my droopy fuel Gauge needle today and wired and plumbed in the stack boost Gauge .

 

looks superb mat.the turbo over the gearbox is one of my fave mods!and yeh smiley im sure it was me.you under a different user name?that must be about 13 years ago I picked that up.i sold it on for a house deposit and didn't hear anything again.

Yesterday it got to setting up the Pf01 TPS but I was told it wouldn't give a signal for closed throttle ..so told him I'd have a pf09 on his lap for in the morning ..text back to say he will finish it Saturday as he's off to Scotland to map a car .

 

Teething troubles to be expected mate aye

 

Yea mate TPS is only a minor set back ..hope no more .lol

morning mate ..I had a delay with a TPS and the mapper needed to go Scotland to map a car for Andy Gallagher so I'm led to believe he's back on it this morning ..so hopefully make the rollers today /tomorrow... I'm the same not had chance to pick some stuff up yet myself.

 

Little update ..loom is all in and he's discovered my ignition switch is dodgy ..I'm struggling to find a Grey plug ignition switch ..led to believe it's the early 80 spec one ..same as this ..Grey and square once this is sorted it's ready to start and map

Massive thanks to James ainsworth up at C&J auto services for digging me this out at very short notice FOC .and posting it me to Steve at Area52 so he can start to start / map the car tomorrow .

Do you think its just the contacts within the switch that have warn?

Adduk- yea I'm told the switch was getting warm due to it being worn .

RsMk4Turbo- yea James is a very helpful chap and really looks after the cars he works on..well worth a visit .


bassboy - yea it was worn inside and was making the plug hot to the point it looks slightly melted ..I read it can be quite common .
