Default My RS2000 van

Hi, I am new to the site. I have been reading a lot of the project threads & there is a lot of very talented people out there & some of the cars are fantastic, so thought I would post some pics of my latest project. It started life as a Mk6 van, it has an RS2000 engine, suspension, front brakes and rear discs, stainless exhaust; escort cosworth body kit; front end converted to Mk5; Genuine Escort Cosworth bonnet, headlights and fogs; Cosworth style front and rear bumpers; leather Recaro seats.

Thanks for the kind comments. Hopefully going imperial blue (same colour as the bonnet) and a few more things to do in the pipeline. I don't think I took any build photos, unfortunately. Got it MOT'd just before Xmas, just sorting insurance now (not as bad as I thought it was going to be!) so hopefully be having fun soon!!

Looking good mate, the only way those talented people become talented is by perseverance/ trial and error. Keep going and it will look very nice. Good work so far!

Smudge.

I think with a different set of rims something that fills the arches it would look spot on.

I think it would look awesome on Escos rims to complement the arches and front end

Forgot to mention that I've flipped the rear axle and put an extra leaf spring in to raise it slightly.

Rain stopped play so went in the garage to fibreglass the front bumper where I caught it on the drive (prior to flipping the axle!).

The rear is ply lined & painted matt black for now as we are building a extension at home but after that will have to see.
