Default Transit Connect write off project

Having taken delivery of my new Van yesterday I thort I'd start up a project thread as I plan to repair it and also make it a little bit different to most connects at the same time. It's a 2007 swb with 96000 on the clock. It's a cat c write off hit in the front. Pics to follow soon. First thing to do is repair all the damage which means a big strip down and make a parts list, so if anyone has any front end parts for a transit connect lying around they want rid of let me know lol. I'll try and update this as the project goes on so everyone can see it transform.

Thanks mate, I found loads of service history and receipts in the glove box so it seems to have been well looked after. Also had the cambelt done in September this year.

Cool. The cam belts are a piece of piss to do. The hard part about them is taking the cam cover off to lock the cam.

Stripped some of the front end down today to get an idea of what parts I can save and what I need new. Found the rad is fairly bent so will fit a new one, although its still holding water. Fortunately the intercooler is fine but all the trims around it need replacing. I'm gonna have a go at repairing the bumper tho which should save some cash. But may have to get a new cross member and definitely a new front panel. checked the oil and all fluids and all is well. But it did run out of diesel when I was having a listen to the engine running. Got some pics of it stripped too.

see if it has 1 pipe or 4 pipes coming from the pump

1 goes to common rail, then injectors = Ci

4 go direct to injectors = Di

Yeah it's all bolt on, might have to do a small repair to the inner wings. I'm a panel beater so won't cause me too much trouble if it has been damaged further back.

Thanks for that, il check for sure next time I work on it but from what I remember seeing itl be a tddi then.
