Yeah def.
Not sure what twin plate I’ll be using yet. It will be 7.25 inch as well though

There not perfect but there certainly do for cheap covers. Last set of mint standard ones I got was a lot of money certainly not doing it again as there shrink again

Look for audi 80 v6's they came with the cover on the back of the alternator plus ducting to help with airflow to it.
Haynes of challows down near wantage used to get them in every so often. Been years since i've been there though
If you get stuck let me know and i'll ask an audi breaker I know if he has one.

Only problem I find is anything ford related has been had by someone I know who lives only 7 miles away.
Always worth a trip out with a big toolbag 😂

Yeah I used to go quite frequently and normally used to end up getting quite a few bits each visit. Every so often you will strike gold with a car in there.
First visit I ever went and they had seven nissan 300 twin turbo's in there all with the same style damage, rear into a post or tree. The engine's/box's had all gone but the majority was still there.

I have the same AIM and same aux LED's in my escos, its been a right headache to hook up all the aux lights etc, also noticed was the Aux LED's are always dimly lit due to low voltage getting to them when they are meant to be off, once full voltage they go twice as bright.
I have a seperate AIM fuel pressure sensor on my FPR and also oil pressure direct, mine is linked to my SM4

Yep definitely I could take that route. Once it’s running and I’ve fitted the dash Ill know what it dose. If a little voltage dose keep the LED warnings on Maplins and Halfords are round the corner lol it will get sorted in an hour or so

I’ve the lead to link my dash to my sm4. That will save a few gauges lol. I’ve a stack fuel gauge and afr gauge and I’ll keep my 3 bar boost gauge. My dash is a road one so only extra LED’s I’ll have is park brake high beam and ABS. There’s a fair bit of room behind the saff clocks so I’ll be fine with wiring space.

Got a different gearbox for my old boat just needs a little attention lol. I’ve the bits to rebuild it now It’s a TR3550 TKO
Also got my front door covers now so can get my front door cards re trimmed. Need to send my bell housing off to be modded for this gear box and order the new type fuel pump mark uses at high horse power levels

The box I’m using is rods old box. It’s a good box that stood the test of time with a lot of torque chucked at it so a shame for it to go to waste. It’s a bit of a Frankenstein box as well. It has the later tko 500 mainshaft that’s the same thickness end too end. Which also has the larger rear main shaft bearing. Now has the 500/600 one piece counter shaft as well and carbon synchro’s on 2nd 3rd and 4th. Will be plenty man enough for mine

Got my front door cards covered today. Obviously look a little different to standard being the eBay covers. The seams being the main difference but a million times better than the original ones with shrinking leather. So I’m happy as this option should last if I got a set of standard ones again there just shrink as they have now.

Had my old girl at work this week disheartening seeing it like this. Looks like a barn find now lol. But it was a productive ish week. Battery in boot wired up new fuel pump and filter fitted. Dash wiring sorted ready for my aim dash. Stack fuel gauge fitted. ECU wheel speed sensor fitted. And I got my bell housing so I can send it off to be modified for my tremec. Small steps but in the right direction!
