Bloody hell mate. I wont say what everyone else has said as you know what I would type lol. Really sorry to hear this bud. 7 month is a piss take though.
As you said to me when I was thinking of selling my Taxi, Don't do it and break her. Apart from your wife she is the other love of your life and you will regret doing it.

if you don't take the car he may leave it outside, which would mean even more rust due to it's unfinished condition
get it gone from there and, if need be, buy some rattle cans and primer and spray up the unpainted areas to preotect them at the very least
have you got somewhere to put it afterwards though?

The only place my car can go is on my drive.I have no where else to keep it. So the half cut out rear arch will start to rust more.

Thanks to the rest of you who have replyed. If I quoted you all I would be on forever.
At least when I get my car out of the bs I can refit the interior cause it doesnt need anymore welding to the floor.

Bloody hell Glenn!! This geezer sounds a right tosser!!
If he needed the space then he should have pulled his finger out, got your one done and then he would have the space that he apparently needs!!
I hope you find somewhere decent to get it sorted mate, as you've said to me before, don't break it, you will only regret it after and all because of some twat who was too lazy to pull his finger out!

He turned into a right nasty guy.I told him I kept telling him I had the money to pay him amd his excuse wss he wanted paying up front for the work. I said where else do you pay before the work is done. My work mate went with me and he was having a right go at him. Then the bs owner got nasty so I jusr walked out.
I had to get the car moved cause I know if I didnt it wouldnt be there in the morning. I know im a naughty boy but I had no choice but to drive the cossie home with no tax. I drove past 2 panda cars too lol.
One good thing though. ....... Its bloody fast lol.

What a clown, clearly zero fucks given about his customers.
Needs a good hiding in my opinion.

Glenn, I dont know.exactly whats been going on with you and him, but the reason he got nasty is cause your work.mate muttered "if it was my car you wouldn't be standing", that'd piss any bloke off, specially when he's nothing to do with the car, you've seen my escort, the level of work he provides is 2nd to none, he ends up putting alot of other bodyshops work right, yours being a good example, was in a main dealer for 2 weeks to get painted, less than 2 years later the arches are fucked again anx the paint still had the orange peel effect? To do a job right takes time and skill, thats where the money goes, it was Ł4k to do my escort start to finish, and i even had to take mine home too as i wasn't in a position to pay him.anymore, 4 month later took it back and got it finished. If you take a mate specifically to kick off at him, how do you think.he's going to act?? I helped him put the doors on yesterday, i dont think its too late to organise/negotiate getting it finished, and soon too. He does the job right 1st time so it doesn't need doing again.

Forgot to add im happy to go with you, not a hot headed work mate who wont help the situation. But its no drama to me if you take it else, we all have our opinions and experiences in life and this one hasnt been a good one for you so far, so to speak, lol.

10K+ Poster!!
Glenn, as you know I havnt even posted on Pf in over a year, but after speaking to you today on the phone, and seeing how pissed off you are, I had to come on here and read the thread. I'll keep my opinion between me and you via the phone mush, because I'll start ranting, but like I said, push comes to shove, I'll go see Neil, and see if he can fit you in and get sorted in his body shop, chin up brother

you cant fix stupid
any company who wants money up front is not a business worth negotiating any deal with. im in my own business and its a massive no no to ask for money up front. this goes hand in hand with cowboy deals no matter how good you think his work his. if hes good then he needs to change his work ethic cos its flawed.

Craig I dont wanna fall out with you but I dont know anyone other bs that want money up front before doing the job. How does it take 7 months to repair a sill and an arch which looks ripply to me.
Then he leaves my car outside with no tax on so I had no other way to get it home apart from driving it with no tax risking my license job and risk loosing my car.
Good news though Gaz from Durham said he will do my car soon.Im gonna get the car taxed anfmd take it to him.He said he will start it in 2 weeks and doesnt want a penny till its done and im happy with it.

So ive paid 1300 quid got a scrathed bumper that needs painting. Thats 150 quid then the door rubbing strip is bent. I doubt I can get one on its own. Sets on ebay go for over 100 quid.
Then I had to buy another car to get to work cause it took the body shop to long to fix. That was 800 quid.
Ive been proper bummed.
