bit more progress to report on lol

the lower steels were fitted a week or so ago and i had the pleasure of havint to redo one of the padstones as there was a bunch of about 8 twin and earth cables coming out the wall and the way we originally fitted it wasnt good enough, so luckily im soo fucking good i managed to sort it lol and the building inspector has given us the go ahead to carry on...

soo, this week the carps have started to construct the doormers etc and this morning we got the upper steels delivered and fitted in place, not fixed yet tho as there is a wall missing lol

lower steel and front bit started

rear

upper steels

oh, and a fucking great hole int he end of the house LOL

the lintel that was above the window was a fucking heavy cunt! 3 of us just about managed to get it out tho. its now sat on the bedroom floor while i think of ways for its demise... i have an SDS and angle grinder, so they may all be seeing some action tomoz!

got a fair bit to get on with this weekend, and not much time to do it! argh....

yes mate, got a few pics but my work has now blocked photobucket and i keep forgetting to upload them at home

basically i was all good till a week ago sunday when it rained....

it was raining inside too as a reult the kitchen, hall and part of the lounge ceilings are fucked and the laminate in the hall has lifted... it was pissing in. i tried my best to sort it using dpm sheet but still wasnt good enough.

so, the carps were back last week and have now constructed the front and rear dormers, and got the boards down on the roofs. i have ordered and had delivered the EPDM roofing system, but they never got chance to get the facias etc on friday as i was hoping to make a start at the weekend.

the cars say they will next be back possibly friday to deck out the main flat roof at the rear, but the weather looks shit for the rest of the week

so once i have the facias, even if they dont fit them and i do, ill get the EPDM started.

been measuring up for windows and doors etc, so just waiting for the first quote back from them. mates dad works for a glaziers that usually does commercial buildings but said they will sort us out.

still, pics to follow asap

Hopfully it won't be too expensive to fix the water damage?

Look forward to seeing photos of the progress

sorry lads, didnt get to upload the couple of pics last night, but once again the heavens opened at 11pm.... ran out of fucking buckets now and it was still dripping through the hallway ceiling this morning

hall ceiling has bowed a bit now so that will need to come out, and as said the laminate is fucked but that would have been replaced anyway in due course. think the kitchen ceiling may have to come out aswell

didnt get much sleep last night....

booked tomorrow off now, so if the carps cant get me the facia stuff by the morning ill be getting it myself and having a go at the EPDM on the dormers.

only thing is where the water was coming in between the roof boards i now dont know if they will be fucked when they dry out. its marine ply but there is a cut edge and i dont know what way round they fitted the boards until i get up there.

fucking assholes
