Default Focus 2.0 esp

made a last minute decision to buy a focus on monday and get it ready for fiestas in the park
the car is a 2.0 esp with 47000 miles on a 03 plate

as you can see its pretty mint
these are my general inspiration

the first thing to do was order some wheels
i went for calibre vintage 8x17

and i also ordered toyo proxy t1r tyres
i have also ordered some gmax 50mm springs

today i decided that the headlights didnt look right so i bought a new set of st170 dark headlights and fitted them

before

after

my wheels tyres and springs arrived today so they will be fitted tomorrow

Seen a few of the one's above at EFE a few years back, cool cars with very limited bits fitted for big impact. Good luck with it

After

Then on to my st170 fogs

Before

After

Then started on my springs

And wheels fitted

Hopefully the suspension will settle after a few days, since driving it home it's dropped a bit from these pics.

Car is looking amazing bruv, serious props for that work happening so quickly. What are the springs you've fitted and what sort of drop should they give? I'm looking for a set of springs now for my 51 plate Estate for decent drop hopefully...

Ah mate, you need some coilovers to drop it a bit more over those wheels. They'll fill the arches nicely

Looking good, I have a soft spot for Calibre Vintages... mainly because they are sexual!

doesn't work at that ride height. you need coilovers to try and go with the "euro" look

They are Glenn, you don't really need to remove much except one bolt and prise the arm down with a bar and just pop the springs in. A bit fiddly, but easy

Nice one.I take it you remove the back bolt on the sub frame. The anti roll bar bush/rod will have to be removed to wont it.

Can't remember off the top of my head, been a while since I had a FWD Focus But I think it was only 1 bolt because you can prise the arm down enough to have someone else to pop the spring in.

Old spring can be a nightmare to get out. The way I do them is unbolt the shocker and the anti roll bar, put spring clamps inside the spring up through the hole in the bottom arm. You need to do this as there is no room on put them on the outside. Get someone to force the arm down as far as possible (standing on top of the drum works well) then lever the spring out. Don't undo any other bolts as chances are they will be siezed and will snap.

Rear suspension was fitted by removing the bottom shock bolt. Then a pry bar to lever the rear arm down. And another to lever the springs out
Rear lights tinted today
