Mazda RX8 project with 20v Audi turbo engine

If you already have CAD software i can reccomend Sheetcam ( http://www.sheetcam.com ) if you dont have anything for CAM?
Its only £110.00 and very easy to pick-up, much much easier than programming heidenhain and working trig out like in the code posted. It comes with the heidenhain post processor too.
All you need to do is make a cable the correct pin-outs and change some parameters and jobs a goodun.
Nice job on the RX8 - Think there would ever be room for a YB there?

The 20V turbo is actually a pretty efficient engine. Had a friends Octavia VRS
for a week or two and was seeing around 30mpg with out much effort.
And the Mazda rotary is atrocious on petrol unless its on a run and even then its not great.

I have and they're very good, obviously if you're driving everywhere like a madman then its going to use lots of fuel!
Btw, to all those asking ... The project hasn't moved on because I'm too busy at work, as soon as the Firenza is done I will make the RX8 my next project, need to sort the blue one soon as my Misses keeps asking when shes getting it.

Can't see your pics pal ^^
My cousin was there with his Nissan 200sx the Saturday before last drifting at Lochgelly. Never mentioned the RX8 which is odd because I have a vested interest in them!

PassionFord Post Whore!!
it's AMK garage who have built the rx8 with 1JZ engine.
My mates got a e46 with a 1jz engine as well that they wired up for him.
The 2 of them make 1000bhp between them

PassionFord Post Whore!!
just read this thread from the start.
its funny as i just missed on an rx8 i was bidding on a few weeks ago local to me, with the intention of doing something like this. i didnt realise though that the 192 uses the mx5 box, presumably mk3, which ran a duratec. id imagine the bellhousings are different but in theory if the mx5 box were bolted up, then the duratec would bolt in. the rest of the fucking about with the bulkhead and engine mounts would still be an issue but nothing overly difficult.
definitely my next project.
