it got moved to the members section so the moaning could start ... Lol 80% bitching 20% people think its a great idea and want one if you can make it work haha

I'm not far from brum so I'll come over if you want to see a working one

Just for reference a rebuild from a rotary specialist is around 2.5k/3k depending parts and comes with a 30 month, 30,000 mile warranty including RWYB, trackday etc which will be my next port of call if mine goes pop..... Unless you start punting these out

Keep the updates coming

mřffe, have you ever heard about Reyland / Martin H. before you read this thread? If not, read some of his old threads, and maybe you got some nice ideas for your Sierra. And if you behave maybe he will sell you some of his custom parts from his company Reyland....

THe block has a temporary adaptor/spacer just so we could work out the correct angle, when we strip it all back out I will make a proper adaptor on my CNC Milling machine that I bought myself for Xmas

Here's the material for the adaptor ..

I really can't wait to see this done, and find out how much it costs to have it done. I love the look of the RX-8 but couldn't live with an engine named for a popular male pastime

I'd sell my evo and buy a fecked RX-8 for purely for this combo!

I'm keeping drawings of all the parts we're making just in case it becomes a viable conversion to carry out in the future, it all depends on how much it all adds upto once the conversion is completed but with RX8's with dead engines selling for sub 1.5k I can see the potential.

Absolutely! And consider that it's not an old car either! And it looks great and handles well! I would be on the list of potential customers for sure! I could even get my kids in thanks for the funky rear doors!

The only REAL question is what to call it? Vagzda?

Trouble is you would need a massive machining centre to match the X axis travel you have on the Bridgeport.

Where I used to work we had an Interact 2 and a big Mazak machining centre, the Bridgeport was more versatile for car type stuff and I ended up making my 5.0 V8 4x4 sump adaptor on it as the Mazak did not have enough travel.

Sold all the 4x4 bits to a guy in the US in the end...

You could´ve used the A4 intake manifold i think it would fit better without any modifications.
