The air con relocation kit came from BMW, the stereo being a BMW fitment just went straight into the car when this was done.
Stereo is working great! needs an aerial amp for the radio though, as i dont think it has one built in like the oe one did.
Updates are, ive done a full EGR removal, fitting a power pipe rather than leaving the old restrictive EGR in place.
Renewed the boost hoses,
New front wheel bearings,
Harder front pads as i was getting brake fade under hard load.
Intercooler is due any day now so im getting ready to fit that to so we can finally finish the map and release the stage 1,2,and 3.
Fitted a new air con pump, as mine decided to start growling, and had a nice re gas ready for the.......Summer? lol.
Keeps splitting anti roll bar link arm rubbers since the coil overs have gone on, so im working on rose jointing them
shes done plenty of miles lately running around to Time Attack events, and trips to devon, and not missed a beat. They are certainly still reliable over 200bhp.

Well, the New intercooler is now on and tested, still a few revisions to make to the final map,
but i had the car on a Dyno Dynamics rolling road today, and the results are already pretty good.
222BHP at the WHEELS, just over 254bhp at the fly. and also just over 370lb/ft.
She's running nicely at 27psi.
Not bad for a 150 bhp Diesel
makes all the tweaking, fettling, spending, fabricating worth while.
The dyno was only a temporary set up, so we will soon have it on a proper set up in a nice new dyno cell for more accurate testing and fettling!

Good results! Have you got any pictures of the bumper off with the front mount on?
I'm currently using my mates 330cd, its got Nicks old exhaust on amongst other things, its mental with near 300bhp and 500lb/ft!
He's just fitted a quaife ATB too, probably thee best mod he's done to the car, totally changed it, really couldn't recommend it enough, not cheap but yeah, worth every penny.

i haven't got any pics with the bumper off, but i will get some next time it comes off. There is very little room left as it completely fills the gap we had to work with and has a 60mm bar and plate core

Hi James, just read the full thread and really enjoyed it. I also have a E46, it's a 2004 320d 150hp with near 150000km. I was amased to see that you got an extra 100hp from it with so simple mods. Did you keep the standard injectors, turbo, clutch, exhaust?!
I really like this upgrade, but have another question, what about diesel black smoke? I hate diesel smoke! The only thing i like coming from the exhaust are flames, that's why i also have a cossie How bad is the smoke?
Thanks

No smoke at all mate.
im not sure i believe the dyno results yet, thats why we are waiting to get it onto our own system once its all in and fitted before we release the packages,
The clutch is not keen on the power, its actually one of my next jobs to do on it.
that said, the power has been pushed higher up the rpm, hence more bhp, but not as big a torque gain as we normally see, and its the torque that will kill clutches.

Just had a wee read through the thread again. I've got these pics if it's any good. All the sizes for the new intercoolers were from this intercooler here I bought off James. Looks brilliant behind the bumper!

Hello James, i'm really astonished with the results you got with what was basically changing the IC and some laptop work. That's amasing, and without smoke for me makes it even more impressive.
Were i live there are loads of remaped cars, mostly VAG group, and many of them look like old diesel trucks, because of the black smoke they make
Why didn't you change the turbo? for the one from the 330d for example...
Over here, when someone want's a big increase in hp in their 1.9 TDI's they normally use the turbo's from the 330d or from the MERC's.
I have a friend with a 2005 LEON FR TDI 150, which according to him has now just over 300hp. He swapped loads of parts on his car, injectors, ic, exhaust manifold and 3" system, turbo( now from a 350 cdi MERC ) that blows at about 2,5 bar, and revs to 5300rpm!
I dont know if the power figure is true or not, but that thing pulls like hell...

It already is available really,
The map can be done right now, the cooler I can get although I havent got a final price from AirTec yet it's all ready to go though, designed, fitted, tested.
Drop me a pm if you want one and I'll chase Alan up to see what we can do, I may be able to do a little grouper if we can get 3-5 in.
