My BMW 320D M Sport (Dyno Update!)

Pretty good tbh, oil is expensive long life and it holds a fair bit of it, but it does around 16k miles on oil changes im not going to leave it that long!
brakes etc, are just normal money,
Tyres are expensive though, most Bms run big rims, and the tyres are pretty wide aswell.
This one runs 225 40 18 on the front, and 255 35 18 on the rear.

We have some pretty cool BMW software tools here as we all have them
So ive made a few changes to the body control settings,
The total closure now opens and shuts the front and rear windows, (The coupes only shut the fronts as std for some reason!) All works from the key fob remote.
The alarm beeps on lock and unlock
The anti high jack function is now active and the speed has been set to a higher level so it doesnt lock you in while just pottering about the compound.
One touch window open and close is active on all windows, not just the drivers one.
Follow me home lights now activate the front fogs, instead of the HIDs,
The alarm also now flashes the head lights when it goes off to atract attension.
Ive had it on kennys M3 aswell, and he can shut and open his rag top from the remote now

I paid about £5500 for this one,The M sport Coupes seem to hold more money and just because it was so tidy, as soon as i saw it, i just knew it was the one i had been looking for, it had a few bits that needed sorting, but it was mint where it mattered.
I looked a quite a few, and there are some real shitters out there.

Im looking at one of these at the moment, 55 plate with 49k on it, gonna go see it tomorrow and get rid of my tired old 318 petrol guzzler i think. Watching this thread with interest!
Get some more pics of it thrown up! I love the body control stuff you've done, probably all the same choices I would have aswell.

with 35's fitted had a big gap left betweent the arch
with 45's fitted, not the best pic but you can see the gap between the arch and wheel is better
i have gone abit lower now but it catches on speed ramps

i hate when all the windows open with the keyfob but only the front close with it and would like the alarm to bleep when set and lights to flash when the alarm goes off

How much would it be to get mine remapped with EGR delete and customise some of those body control settings while I was in? PM me if you like!
Would be a good road trip for my new car, you're about 200 miles away, but would rather take it to somewhere that knows what they're doing

Well,
Over the xmas period i did quite a few road trip miles, over 1000 infact,
Blackpool to Kent, Kent to Devon, running around in Devon doing day trips, Devon to Blackpool.
The car didn't miss a beat, was a joy to drive, and the whole trip saw an average of 54mpg, not bad considering it was carrying four people, a Husky, And loaded to the brim with all our stuff!
plus the winter fuel grades, and the fact i was running around on Dartmoor for a day while in Devon as well!
Didn't even open the bonnet, Just what i was hoping to achieve, great power and torque, but still extremely reliable and economical.
I will get some new pics up once the weather has improved a bit. it always seems to be dark at the moment!

You think your car would get more gains with the Allard front mount?

Well, its time for even more tweaks
Ive ordered a full face DVD sat Nav unit, with Free view TV
But to fit this into my car it means i have to relocate the air con control, and have a bit of a jig around with the dash.
So I've ordered
All the relocation parts of the dash from BMW,
Got The DVD/ Sat Nav/ all singing all dancing bluetooth touch screen player to suit the BMW dash on its way,
Some fabric loom tape, so all the wiring can be covered in OE finish and stop any rattles. (Man i really hate rattles)
A few packs of sound deadening, so i can bulk out the door panels and behind the speakers.
And all the required wiring to suit.
Oh and i gave it a service last week.
The large intercooler should be here on friday!
so ill be cutting room for it at the weekend

the head unit was around £450.00 with all the toys added onto it like Free view TMC etc etc
They do look completely OE when fitted, that why as soon as i saw it, i had to have it Its even got the OE cone shaped knobs
When you ign on, a big BMW logo appears on the screen
There are a few types available, some work the oe disc changer as well.
This one doesn't, but it has many more features then the others, and does the trip computer info and nice things like that. also as having the Digital tv on touch screen, where as most others use an external box with a separate remote control.
The cooler is front mounted but across the bottom of the rad, so quite small.
Im having the one from Nicks 330d as its going back to standard, so they must be pretty similar if his is fitting mine.

Hopefully that HU has the later type loom cos what a twat they are to squeeze all the wires in!
The picture quality in DVD is bloody good mind, and you can run any gps software you want.
Let me know what your radio signal is like when you get it fitted. Ive got a fakra adapter with a 5v feed to try to improve the signal but still not got it fitted.

Team HOTHOT!
I had one of those head units in my MG ZT - Very good bit of kit, slightly lacking in usability/software as it is windows mobile based software but other than that, totally OEM looking and still working well to this day (my brother has the ZT now) after 3 years

Its fair coming along!
Ive got my swirl blanking plugs through in the post and took the engine cover off to start fitting them about half an hour ago but noticed its really tight getting into half of the manifold bolts, so put the cover back on. Ill leave it till the weekend, looks a longer job than I thought!
Im gonna get a decat before I get it to you guys to get it mapped. I keep seeing toys for it all the time, like the head unit you bought! Also saw a set of red leather sport seats on ebay for £550, but they're miiiiiiles away, then saw a set of red leather M3 seats, but they're in Cardiff, also miles away!
The front mounts on 320d/330d must be similar as the Allards kit says 320d/330d:

When doing it don't forget the whole bulkhead part comes off in minutes to make room.
