Focus RS
Hi guys,
Bought this from Kelv a couple of months back and am over the moon with it. Bought this as the history is pretty good and it's wanted for nothing and well looked after
Moved on from my fiesta XR2T to this for a bit of reliability and comfort as i'm getting older and moan about comfort in the fiesta
I had a basic idea of how I wanted a FRS if I ever owned one and now it's time to get started. It won't be a fast moving project, just one i'll add bits to as and when.
In the last couple of months i've bought:
Gloss black front splitter
H&R lowering springs
Greddy boost controller
GGR tubular manifold
Private plate to replace Kelv's one
88 degree thermostat kit
Roose heater matrix hoses
Plus some other bits I can't remember.
Car is going to a mate of mine at the weekend to have a few of these bits fitted amongst other things, set up on the PE RR and then hopefully out on track at Brands on the 8th November
Will try and get some pics up tonight. Cheers for looking,
Tel

The car is tucked up at my brothers at the moment until it goes to Power Engineering at the weekend so will try and get some new pics by then.
Here's a few I took about 6 weeks ago These are before the H&R springs were fitted so it's sitting a bit lower now. Just looked in my PM's and saw a message from you about the GAZ's Paul, it's been read but not by me

I meant i've only just read it myself and still interested lol. Are you still interested in getting rid? Appreciate your honesty on them, I don't think any GAZ suspension i've owned has managed to keep its original coating due to the finish.

The car could really do with a proper machine polish to get the paint up nice and starry bright again, just need to find someone around south London.
Here's a bit of what's already been done to the car, mostly by Kelvin. Done a cracking job when he owned her, just a shame I didn't have the cash at the time to buy the bits he was selling
K&N GenII induction kit with sock
Full car set of PowerFlex Polly bushes.
Full car set of black roose silicon hoses.
Airtec front mount intercooler kit in silver, and the silicon bends for this kit are in blue.
JEK 'Quip turbo oil return
Forge 007 recirc valve
Gloss black front splitter
In line turbo oil filter
Bluefin
Full Mongoose system with Mongoose decat pipe.
Forge Actuator with blue spring (currently set to 15psi)
Battery has been relocated to the boot.
Stack boost gauge fitted to the A piller courtesy of the the Twins.
Brand new discs and pads fitted to an overhauled set of standard Brembo calipers (DS2500's all round)
Door handles and rocker cover have been repainted in a ford panther black.
Headlights have been repainted satin black within the inserts.
AP 6 Paddle clutch
Goodridge braided lines all round
18x8 grpA RL7's ET33 & ET35
Carbon fibre fog light ducts
Carbon Fibre dash surround
Scan Gauge in custom mount
Digital tyre pressure/temperature monitor in custom dash mount
Greddy electronic boost controller
H&R springs on standard shocks

The thing is, there's never really a limit of what you can do to them. I've got a list of bits I want to do over the winter so hopefully i'll get alot of it bought/fitted by the new year

Cheers Bri
Well in November the car went to my mate Zak at PE to have a few bits done.
Fit GGR tubular manifold
Fit new drop links
Fit new Roose heater matrix hoses
Fit new Auto Specialists header tank
Set up the Greddy boost controller
And leave the RR set up to Ian
Got a call from Zak to say that the GGR manifold had a crack in one of the primaries into the collector and was blowing like mad. I tried to contact the fella on the RSOC that I bought it from by PM and email but he hasn't bothered to get back to me As luck would have it, a mate of a mate was selling an SCC/Milltek jobbie so bought this and Zak fitted it up for me. GGR one is now getting repaired to sell again.
Was VERY impressed with the PE boys' work as usual as the car came out with 264bhp @ 22psi and 351 lb ft torque
Was an awesome difference and got my brain ticking on the next few bits to get done so got the car over to my mrs' place on the drive to start taking bits off. Got a few cheeky pics on the way there
As you may have seen in Paul's (Sticky) thread, I exchanged my standard shocks with H&R springs for his GAZ coilies. Paul sent them straight to GAZ so I could have them refurbed before they were fitted to my car. Was very pleased with the outcome and quick turn around, the guys were really helpfull too.
Also decided the bay could do with a spruce up so after a recommendation from a good mate of mine, I had a few bits sent off for powder coating. Completely changed the look of the bay
Bought myself a grp A filter, power steering fluid bottle and centre panel with built in Scangauge II and mounted my Stack oil pressure gauge in there too. Need to get the pipe work made up for the filter to be relocated to behind the n/s headlight if anyone knows anyone to do it?
Paul kindly made me up some Raceline stickers for the wheels
A week or so ago I finally found a bit of time to fit some of the bits up. Excuse the state of the wheels and the height at the front (it started pissing down with rain when I started to adjust them ) Also got a few of the powder coated bits fitted up and it has made a massive difference to the bay! Think the wheels are going to have to go the same colour as the boost pipes now with white stickers.
As i'm planning on doing a lot of track days next year I thought it'd be wise to replace the unsupportive front seats with something that'll keep me pinned in place
And fitted
Hoping to have the passenger one in by the end of the month as well. And that's about it so far. Will try and keep it updated as I go along now.
Cheers for looking

Cheers for the replies fellas
Riglar - never been pulled for the plate but I think that's more down to the fact that the car hasn't seen much of the road since I bought the plate I've replaced front and rear ones now with a more legal size just so I don't get grief.

Cheers guys! Still on the GT25 but was told it's starting to run out of puff at this stage so will be looking into a hybrid mid year. Trying to concentrate on stiffening up the chassis as much as poss before I spend out any more on the power side

i keep looking at these, looks awesome on the RL's, did gaz just powdercoat the coilies then? had some on my other RST and they were corroded to hell, but the ones i bought over 9 years ago on my track s2 are Mint due to me spraying them with grease!

Jonny, they're a superb car mate. Just wish I bought one years ago! Gaz recoated them somehow when they went in for th refurb and came out well! The original coating on them is never the best but don't see why they don't powder coat them in the 1st place

Just a few bits as I haven't updated for a while.
Was fed up with the silver cooler because it didn't look right so sprayed it black and got a bit of full frontal advertising for PE on there Massive thanks to Mike for printing the stencil out and Squiz for printing it out and Si for doing most of the stencil work
My brother having immense fun cutting out the stencil
All finished No, it's not pissed. It's the angle I took the pic
Also bought an OMP WRC steering wheel, OMP hub and a grp N quick release boss.
And I bought a set of gold titanium bolts for it from Pro Bolt to match the boss, bloody pricey but look nice
And one random one from last night

looks awesome mate miss mine
gotta say though it seems down on power for 22psi of boost? most lads running over 300bhp on those figures i thought it was a miss print until i saw the graph?
