Default Escort RS turbo S2 resto. (Resto complete)

Thought i'd stick a link up to my thread from RSOC forum. Almost every spare penny i earn from work is going into this project.

http://www.rsownersclub.co.uk/rsocbb...d.php?t=337192

I'm hoping once finished FastFord would do a feature on it? Been a dream of mine to have my RS in a mag, So splashed out on anything i needed or had on a 'to buy list over the years'.

Please note this is a DIY resto in a tight garage using my knowledge and own work(excluding welding and paint spraying) so its properly not up to the standard some projects ive seen on here. But you gotta get stuck in

Thanks lads. Are the wheels meant to have the blue Compomotive logo on them?

No, I have the 2WD cosworth conversion RS2000 H/B kit. I've got more pics in the link, including the conversion kit.

Got bored trying to source a new brake res. So popped to my local ford breakers and picked up this, it cam with the master cylinder from a MK3 Fiesta. Not bad for Ł15.

Put through the machine and wiped cleaned, came out looking top trumps!

Friday should see the car back up on axle stands and work starting on the LHS, wanting the front inner arch finished and stonechiped ready for paint etc by sunday.

Did u seal it or anything first or just primer onto bare metal then paint?

P.s comps are definately the nicest wheels for a s2

Thanks Lads, Yeah I took the chassis back to bare metal, primed it all. Then a couple of weeks later i sealed it all with stonechip, left for a couple of days then painted.

Just need some lacquer on the fresh paint to get a fuller gloss look and extra protection from scratches.
