Default look what we found! mk1 fiesta update 29/05 new roof skin, pic heavy thread

was driving past this for a while so i told my mate paul81 off here and he looked at it an see the potential, he was originally after a mk2 but was soon convinced otherwise, i wont mention any plans as i kno he has a few nice one off touches he wants to keep to himself until finished but im sure we will add some pics of progress that dont give away too much
anyway we picked it up today an here it is..........

its a 950 pop plus an all im sayin is it will be far from standard when finished

Hi all well as you no we found a nice little 950 pop plus for good money we striped it out yesterday if it wasnt for the fact it had a sunroof it would be mint but as it stands we will have to replace the two front floorpans and need to sort out a bit in the boot where the water tank was fitted as its started to go there to an we are goin to need to sort out the roof as well witch is quite bad as there gotta be about a 10mm X 200mm hole along the edge of the sunroof but apart from that it was wax oiled from new so the rest is mint

oh yeah an we found some of the original paper work stuck to the back of the head linin

next up is engine out today witch souldnt take long an sort the roof out

well after an extensive search we failed to find a replacement roofskin but paul did manage to pick up a second hand one already chopped off the car so yesterday we set about removing the skin from it and what a fookin job it was too well we cracked on an finally took about 7 hours to carefully take it off,
what we ideally need now is some guidance from u good folk on how to remove the skin from the car without causing any damage
any help much appreciated
liam

ps ill get paul to add some pics of us removing the new roof skin later

have you tried the mk1 fiesta forums, usually a pretty good place for parts and advice for these, although i'm sure there is plenty of knowledge here

pacificzetecturbo love the roof scoop man nice work not normally into fiestas but this thread and the fact another m8 is building one, and it just so refreshing to look at different cars for inspiration and fresh thinking.
