Default progress update 1

heres what iv built up so far. Tailgate is almost finished with just the spoiler to go and then the inside covers can be fitted. rear light in and looking way better than the tinted ones which were in the car to start with. go some of the door rubbers in and fitted a new set of strikers which has made a big improvement from the tatty items that were on before. iv tidied the wiring behind the dash up and got rid of any unwanted junk. New sound deadening has been laid and the carpet is in.

Under the bonnet iv fitted a few new clips, the restored brake servo unit , blower motor and the ecus. Iv started on the loom but am waiting on some new clips to arrive to finish this!
Heres a few pics...

Smile few new parts

got a few new parts in the post today, got some new wiring loom clips, new set of fixings for the front wiper mechanism (see pics of how shagged the old ones were) and last but not least got my new polybushes for the rear of the car. this week should see the fitting of the rear suspension and hopefully the spoiler.

Im having a new headlining made atm to replace the tatty as fook one that was in the car. couldn't find the original perforated material so gone for a light grey material which is going to look awesome with the 90 spec interior.

Dont know if you have tried to fit these yet but I got the same ones for mine from ebay and they were an absolute nightmare to fit and i could only actually get one of them to fit and that was after some serious trimming as well - they are basically too big to fit so i went along the route of getting genuine ones from Ford and they just popped in easy.

You will have to let me know how you get on with them.

p.s. you will also need about 15 of these to do a whole engine bay.

Yep your right about them being too big! what a nightmare. i used gen clips where i could and re drilled the holes a little bigger to get them to fit.

Great work m8! But I think the springs are the wrong way. When you are reading the spring number, you should not need to be standing on your hands

Smile small update 12/12/11

well things have gone abit slow this week as im waiting on parts to arrive to finish off the rear suspension. so in the mean time iv fitted the screws ect to the body kit to finish it off as its been bonded on. and i also got a new rear decal so i put that on too. i think i put it on a tad bit low but im happy with how it looks. more updates soon!!
