Please, please, please don't put those wheels on that car, otherwise i will come round and slap you

Just kidding mate, if you like em go for it, but personally i think theyre just slightly the wrong 'era'/too modern to look good.

If it were me i would drop it on a set of RS4 spokes, squeeze a turbo lump in the bay respray it/touch up the rough areas and leave it at that.
& maybe fit an RS option front splitter from a mk1 if it would fit.

my friend max bought a mk2 that looked pretty similar to that.

ALL he did was lower it 50mm on some Gmax springs he got off ebay for a tenner
then put it on black pepper pots with a white lip
put a mountney steering wheel on it
then a 20 quid ebay mongoose backbox

serviced it, looked after it and the number of people that asked to buy it off him was amazing, it was really nice!

Them fox alloys are defo going on my car, trust me it will bring it to life. love pepperpots but every1 seems to have them on mk2's, just wanna be a little different with 15" and lowered, think it will look really cool. Personal taste really

i have actually seen a mk2 with them fox alloys on before and in the same colour but honestly if it was me i wouldnt put them on maybe do until you find a better suited wheel but for me nothing beats pepper pots on them. why not chuck a thread up in the pics section asking for people to show you theres so you can get an idea of what you think works and what doesnt

I would love to trust ya bud, but i've seen some of your old motors
I can't say ive not had a rough looking motor due to my own fault however, rover 214 on stilts and chrome 18's anyone
But it was my 1st car i was young, silly and quickly learnt that it looked wank and that less is often more. The next car was subtle and tastefully done, and got plenty of nice comments!

Have a look around at other cars and see what styles work, doesn't mean you can't be different, just see what works. Each to their own and all that.
Good luck with the build though chap, im sure it'll look good and you'll prove some of us wrong that those wheels work.

Keep us posted mate.

Default new piccy's

New Fox alloys fitted and i knew they would look good, suit it down to the ground Well happy with it, really needs lowering now. 50mm or 35mm which ones shouold i buy ?????????

If your wanting a new trolley jack, buy 1 of these that ive just bought from Halfords for £100 its an absolute bargain, really solid quality and lifts really high as u can see. 3 tonne, big and wide so it wont try to tip over like my old jacks

stunning apart from the grey bit at the bottom. Looks like this car has had new sills not too long ago and the inner arches are spotless, same colour as the car with no holes or rust to bee seen in there.

The picture quality is shit, will take some more photos in daylight tomorrow and get some work done on it hopefully. Getting front tie bar bushes tomorrow then after that all it should need is rear trailing arms and font pads and disks then start on body work in the very near future and get some Genolite on those slightly rusty areas.

Advice please on a possible problem
When u select first gear and bring the clutch up youve got to be really really gentle on clutch pedal to av a smooth get away or the car just seems to jump forwards and set off quicker. (Quite an light pedal, goes into every gear smoothly and also has a good biting point)
Any suggestions or jsut live with it

That Ghia is what you should want yours to look like

those wheels make it look shit, a set of pepperpots arent that expensive, infact neither are rs four spokes

Talking here are some updates on fiesta

a couple of updates of work done to fiesta.
Started off by changing the clutch and now it works perfectly
New front disks and pads
Now got a cherry bomb 3.5" bore so getting some reducers made to make it fit to standard exhaust so there wont be any dodgey welding just clamps. May pat a decent back box on aswell but see how cherry bomb sounds first. cant wait till reducers are delivered as they are getting specially made 1 off apperently

New valve stems and caps, only £1.75 and look great

Now got a minor problem which is there is a deep puddle in the passenger rear footwell but really cant see where the water has come from as all the seals seem to be ok and there is no sunroof so
ANY SUGGESTIONS ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

It runs absolutely mint now, gonna get someone to take it for a spin soon as its still got 5+ months t&t left.
Really need some front tie bar bushes but local parts shops cant get hold of them and there are none on ebay. Does any1 know where these bushes are sold ?????

for the price of new discs and pads you could of got escort rs turbo front brakes 2nd hand off here, and for the money you can sell those fox things to you can get pepperpots or erst wheels, 60mm drop on 15" escort rs turbo wheels in arthcite is always a winner, mid boot spoiler and the bottom half painted arthcite too would look mint

Oh and the water is coming from the floor theres no where else it can come from

There are no rust holes anywhere on the car and the door seals are fine, tested them with a jug of water.

Just had a little giggle when i saw this title with "done propper this time!!!' I give you 1 chance but deep within i should know better At least you bought a mint car to start with. Much better then the rolling scrapheaps you had before.

One tip tho. Get some better wheels. Ford ones or at least smaller ones.

The best thing to do is do i properly and make the car's safe first. If you cant do it get some one who can to show you the right way..Cuz how would you feel if you killed some one in a death trap you would have to live with that for the rest of your life..please keep away from the filler i.e. the blue and white fez take advice from the people on here as they know what they are talking aboutLook at other restro's and see what they do to there fez's.. Good luck with it....
AS you can see by mine they can be a money pit but they r wort it in the end
