That's what you should be aiming for mate. ^^ look's nice and wont get you pulled by the police every 5 mins.
Imagine yours would look even better with the kit on.

That looks mint.
Get it done!

Cant believe how much those mondy wheels are going for already, wonder if the bidders know that they're not cosy wheels

Or are you just bidding them up

I think he could end up with a lovely little Foosty if he listens to what people have to say. I'll check postage on the other 2 XR wheels when I'm at the Post Office tomorrow. Anyone else have any decent parts around that they could donate/sell cheap to him? Also there must be someone in Leedsrhino's area that could give him a hand with the body work? Would be worth it for the comedy value if nothing else!

Finally coughed up for a new caliper, it was only £40 + exchange so good price really. All bled with a decent pedal
No more stuck on front brake

Also got a set of rear shoes, all adjusted up nice with a brilliant handbrake now.

Bonded the rear spoiler on today with propper bodywork bonding stuff, so full xr2 kit now fitted correctly and looks really well.

Found 2 more xr3i wheels on ebay and won so they will be delivered soon so get rid of these shocking pepperpots, they are not sellin on ebay at the moment so will give them a mini refurb and probily just spray them black.

Now bonnet wont blooded close, its decided to drop on one side at the front but the hinges look fine, not bent or anything, i think it looks pretty cool with the bonnet raised like that abit.

just noticed that there is no hole for a door mirror on the n/s, guess this boggo standard pop wasnt blessed with one.

splashed out a weeks wages on this little beauty today, get some practice in at the weekend then tackle the hole in the boot.

came with a reel of wire, new bottle of argon andthe regulator but its faulty, where do i get a cheap 1 from??

Glad you're selling the red Mondy wheels as they looked really shit on a maroon car. XR3i or pepperpots will look infinitely better. Remember, less is more.

Default wheels have arrived

L00K at this wahooo, looks pretty cool now,(also even better next week as im gonna order a set 50mm lowering springs tomorrow) cant wait for it to be admired on the road and listen to the awesome exhaust note through the enclosed streets
Get driving test booked asap then it will be ready for its MOT late June.
Gonna aim to pass test by the 12th of June but by the latest 25th June

Needs a good wash tomorrow then get the welding in the boot sorted and weld on a hanger for the exhaust.
Then springs, rear trailing arms job done

The wheels are all in pretty good nick so leave as they are for now, got all 4 centre caps aswell

It's certainly improved a little, though I'm not a massive fan of the kit on base models. Need to get those sills sorted properly though!

Default a right pain in the A**E

The before shots with the horrible champion sticker

Its up on the stands as im waiting for the new springs to arrive sometime this week, shock absorbers are in the shed hanging on wire from the roof having a lick of paint,(no point changing them as thay dont look that old)

t-cut the whole car and half way through realized that i should have wiped the white residue off straight away as it would have bin easier to get off that way

whipped an hair dryer out and the stickers came off with ease and simply t-cut the sticky part and now its perfect.

and heres the finished article after a 9 hour+ of cleaning work over the weekend, never again what a bollock ache
pleased with the result though

Painted the rocker cover just to make the engine bay look nice, also jet washed under the bonnet after this pic was taken and every part of the engine looks brand new

also welded in a plate in the boot, by no means does it look perfect but it will do the job of passing its next mot no probs.
And i had to do this with the mig welder with no gas so it wasnt that easy to do asit was spitting like mad, so its not that bad considering ground it down a bit then give it abit of a spray then a brush of undersealer to protect it

that weld wont have penetrated properly with no gas so i would get a regulator sorted and use the gas, you will have to cut that plate out and start again tho, glad you are starting to listen to people tho, hopefully you will make this into a nice car

STOP!!!! Ok thats looking good but please, please don't do anything silly! Lower it, get a nice set of RS recaros for it and then just polish it until you can drive it. No neons, graphics, wubsoofers or b&q filters mate.

Fair play to ya pal after a rather shakey start your doin alright my first road legal car was a mk2 fez bomb back in 1998 when i was 18 it was an A reg 1.3 ghia with a peco big bore 4 lmao what people should be realisin is your only 18 so now a days big exhausts and subwiffle boxes are what tickle your fancy lol and nowt your doin isnt reversable any way. do what you want mate your car your money advice is only advice your choice what advise you take. its startin too look alright now.
And to those of you that got personaly insulting towards this lad you need to take a long hard look at yourselves grow up and get ya selves a life!

New springs finally arrived and got them fitted straight away

look at these inner arches now, 'not bad eh' with not even a hint of rush any where on the under side

decided just to clean up and paint the old front shocks as they still work as they should so decided against buying new ones

heres the results 50mm lowered all round and dont see any point of having an adjustable panhard rod as the rear wheels are in line with no rubbing or anything

my favorite pic of all, i know it still needs a polish and plastics cleaning will get round to it this weekend

eagle eyed viewers will have noticed that a part of the spoiler isnt on, its just a bit of paint has flaked off so get this bit sanded and painted be4 bonding spoiler on
Is it just me or do you agree that it looks really cool with no door mirror on this side. (like this from standard as its only a POP)

dont know why it sits so low at the back than the front but it looks pretty cool so doesnt bother me as nothing touches (rear wheels dont even touch the lip on the arch theres about 3mm clearance on each side)

ill have to weld another bracket for the exhaust a little higher again after the drop as its looking a little too low.
oh and fixed the bonnet, took the bonnet off and found that the one hinge was bent so had to pry it back and put a little weld on each hinge so it cant bend again, now it sits and closes better than ever.
