Learn to walk before you can run.

No point having a big engined car for your first car, your likely to end up with either a hefty number of points on your licence, or your motor in a ditch because as much as you think you know how to drive, it's all too easy to run out of talent & also much faster with a quick car!

But deffinitely save some cash and get a 2.0l zetec or something in a few years time, I'll even come help you fit it!...If i can have a go in it aswell of course

give the springs time to settle down, fiestas/escorts also sit slightly lower on the drivers side due to the weight distribution of the engine so aslong as its not hugely out then don't worry about it.

Next id turn attentions to the inside, fit a tidy pair if recaros and make it a nicer place to be as after all 90% of the time when your gonna be with the car your gonna be driving it not looking at it lol

Thank you for seriously brightening up my morning at work. Read this from start to finish and what a massive transformation. Less is (in a lot of cases) more. This started off looking soooooo bad i wouldnt have been seen looking at it let alone owning it but now you have a nice first car. 3mm clearance on the back will scrub with all your scooter mates in. Still need to lose the exhaust though. Well done for listening to the comments in the end.

Also this thread has some of the funniest comments ever!

had to make a little modification to the exhaust so just welded in a flexi pipe and it works perfectly with no leaks so looks like mi welding is getting better, just needs a nice tip now. any suggestions ??????

just bought these Ford wheels today (probily off a ka or summat) set of 4 with decent tyres all for a bargain Ł40. only bought them just to use 2 tyres from them because the xr3i wheels need 2 replacing.

they dont look to bad so might keep these wheels as spares as they are mint or sell em with no tyres and get my money back

Interesting place to fit a flexi pipe, can i ask why you've had to weld it there, just interested.

Wheels look ok.

ye i couldnt find a bit of pipe anywhere with the curve needed as if it was straight it would hit the tyre so the flexi seemed to be the best thing to do

Why have you used the cherry bomb back box as a middle box?

this one isnt a back box its made to go in middle with a pipe on each end.

l00k. Amazing how good the paint has come up with a marathon polish.
h
along with a plastic polish, also i took the arches back off and and ground abit of plastic on the back now they are completely flush with the body. (the sills are not flush but ill sort that soon)

E447 UUK love it

nice little sticker to let the people behind know what the awesome sound is lol

shame about the ding on the wing

Only polished the o/s of the car and the full bonnet today

Pics of little bits of damages (bin on the car from when i bought it)

The ariel is mounted on the wing and works fine so goint to leave it, there is no rust just peeled of paint

again just peeled/flakey paint, get this rubbed down and painted then bond on this part of the spoiler. JOB DONE after these 3 imperfections, ready for the MOT already though (end of June)

These are the polishes i used to get the shine. Great result for not alot of money
