Did you ever go back to Bavaria with the VW at all, used to like that car when you had it!
Would like to see the Escort and how thats coming on but all i'm getting is photobucket - bandwith exceeded!

Last time I spoke to you I think you were aiming for a 2.1 Zetec Turbo, Candy Apple Red Paintwork, and I also recall you saying you were aiming for 165mph!

essexrsturbo - kit will be glued back on as we broke most the bolts lol...Jack reckons it will be enough to hold it on...but i might twist his arm and put a few rivets in lol

i think i will have to pay the fee and get unlimited bandwith soon lol...need to get paid first lol

hey peeps...have a HUGE update!! as u can see i aint updated since the 19th so thought i would keep you informed of the goings on!
well....SOOOOO much work has been done!....well its almost finished!! 
ill fill u in on the story so far
before setting off to Dubai for a week i started to wire the new gauges in but unfortunately ran out of time before having to leave...so carried on when i came back...
soon as i walked into the garage...i walking into this
however after a few hours of messing about and fettling here and there...it soon looked like this:
with these lighting up on the A pillar (cheers Nomad Racing and cfoster!) 
the ICE wont be going in for a while yet as im yet to decide what system to go for
once that was done the next few days were taken as rest lol...so then went back to the car and started on the arches and lowering it (as i aint putting any ICE back in...the rear was about 5inches higher than the front PMSL )
they started off like this:

nice and level all round now
the rear arches still need to be sprayed red which i will do this week at some point
Jack also came round that day to stick the kit on however we couldnt find anywhere who had the adheisive in stock so he decided to rub down the bumpers, mirrors and kit in the mean time...
you can just about see the bumper rubbed down in this pic...leaving the car looking like this till today:
been in the garage today since 11 this morning till about 11tonight and got to the stage where its nearly complete!!!!
we buffed up the bumper and the kit and stuck them back on the car...bumpers were bolted obviously lol and the kit, and boot spoiler were both screwed and stuck on
also got rid of all the over spray on the windows and sunroof...cleaned the rubbers...put all the new lights on etc etc...was a VERY busy and time consuming day!! cant wait to take of the tape holding the kit in place and wash it and take it out in its FULL glory!!
cant believe how clean and mint the car is looking now...the new headlights, indicators, rear lights, windscreen etc make it look as though its just rolled out the factory!!
tomo will take off the tape and give the car a PROPER clean inside and out and have it ready to take to work hopefully...cant wait!!!
MASSIVE shout out going to Jack as i wouldnt have been anywhere without his help!! Thanks jack!!
will get some proper pics up tomo when its polished and clean

@ Phil...im always on messenger mate but i never see u on or your away lol the gauges i have now are from Autometer and are the Cabolt series...about Ł140 for a boost gauge...same for Oil pressure and temp and about Ł60 for Volt etc etc...BUT cfoster can sort you out VERY well...im ordering 2 more plus an ACT gauge soon
Nomad have stopped doing their boost gauges as they kept having problems...even mine packed up so i decided i would change...always liked the blue lights and red needles so went for these
Zebra strips will be gone tomo

now this is an update that's been worth waiting for, and yes red CAN be deeeeeeeeeeep, immensly deep in colour, as long as you keep protecting it
Nevertheless, well done!!!!

took some pics of it today...
pics REALLY dont do the car any justice
but am SOOOO happy with the work!!! took it to work today and people were just staring at it as i was driving past on the journey to and from work! had sooo many people just staring at the car while it was parked up as well...can be a bit of a bad thing with it attracting so much attention though
on the whole though...AM OVER THE MOON!!!

Quick Story:
parked up outside a cinema yesterday with my gf and as we were walking back to the car there was 2 boys in a Honda just PROPER staring at the car...then as we carried on walking up (the people in the honda were unaware it was ours) pulled out a mobile phone and started taking pictures of it! as i approached them they asked if i minded and that they reckon it was the best looking escort they have EVER seen...so i replied with...as long as u aint coming back later to nick it i dont mind pimsle

Hi everyone! getting the car ready for Ford Fair now as its on the Passion Ford stand thanx Nikki!!!
thought i would give it another wash today...and take some pictures:
a pic to show how deep the red is (even with the flash on!):
and a pic of my washer jets (no idea what they are from but they are VERY subtle and give a nice finishing touch IMO:
what do you think?
i will try to get some pics of it out in the sun one day
plans for ford fair are to trim my rear arches
trial fit sub box and see how low it makes the car and adjust suspension (if its too low ICE is staying out lol)
Spray up a few bits
Clean up engine bay
keep it clean LOL
first day i took it to work i got offered Ł4500 cash for it!!! but i wanna enjoy the car before i sell it LOL...oh and fit the zetec turbo lol

what more to say, i am speechless, so nice so very OEM!!!
I think that next on the menu will be ...a lot of blingbling stuff that'll fit in nicely in the engine bay and then you'll think of the words that a car can be a true money pit, LOL. But for us hombres it's the car that makes us stand out of the crowd!!!

bad new peeps bonnet opened up on me on the way home the other night...

thank god i was only doing 60ish as if i were doing more...im sure the roof would have been kinked, windscreen smashed etc etc as well...
jack is coming over tonight to start work on the scuttle panel while i am smoothing a new bonnet out (cheers RS220bhp)....
car is on show at Ford Fair and i am trying my hardest to get it ready for then...bonnnet should be complete tonight...scuttle panel shud be nearly finished by the end of the night...or if we work quicker...we shud get it all primed by tonight to....fingers crossed!!!
will let u know how i get on

Once again mate sorry to hear about the bonnet flipping up, it seems to happen to sooo many people! 
But everyone it happens to always gets the bonnet pinned afterwards

thanx for your concern peeps
got hold of the bonnet today and began smoothing it out...hopefully will be complete during the day tomo...theres 2 small dents on the bonnet to that i need to take care of but it shouldnt be a problem...
once thats done...will work on the scuttle panel...well jack will....and if we have time will prime everything tomo...failing that will prime on friday evening....
then paint it on monday or tuesday...then cut and polish it on friday...then its ready for Ford Fair!!! maybe if i get time over the weekend or friday...ill begin under sealing the car but its a BIG might at the moment
