fomoco and chummer...u what? lol i didnt get what u said...chummer...what lines?
a mate saw my car today and said 'if that was my car i wouldnt drive it...i would just park it up and store it and bring it out at shows!' then went on to say it was one of the best looking cars he's seen in a LONG time! he can see the potential and judging by the results of JUST the front bumper, inner doors, door shuts, slam panel, kit, rear bumper the job is going to be flawless....i just hope it is!!
think i might go and see it tomo

cheers peeps!!!
went to the sprayers today...gob smacked is all i can say!!
the paintwork is second to non! Jack (the guy who has helped and sprayed it) has honestly left me speechless with the quality of his work! this is only a gun finish so far and pics only taken with my phone (CRAP quality)
there are a few places where dirt has gone into the paint but nothing a bit of polishing wouldnt sort out...
was feeling the smoothness of the paint today and Jack said....dont worry this is NOTHING compared to how smooth it will be...and i even tried the glass test to see if it was as smooth as glass...it already is without being cut!!
heres some pics
My smoothed mirrors
Front bumper
slam panel
smoothed bonnet
random pics:
i CANNOT believe how mint it looks! all this hard work is finally paying off!!!
it will be another week before the paint is cut so we know the paint has dried FULLY...but until then ill be sorting the inside and a few bits and peices out while im on holiday
hope you all like

hey peeps another update! got working on the car again today and quite suprised what i got done!
the car was/is a COMPLETE tip at the moment with parts EVERYWHERE in the car and in the garage!!
so today i managed to get the following done
re-run all wiring into the doors (including speaker wiring which is a FOOKIN paint )
sort out central locking motors
sort out headunit wiring
build up the rear of the car (1/4 panels, boot panels etc)
sort out rear light earthing problem that started while car was in bodyshop
fit door handles
sound deaden rear 1/4 panel
put front door cards back
put in 1/4 glass properly
sorted out bonnet alignment
found new bonnet stay clip as Jack broke mine lol
fitted new 'different' washer jets lol
cant remember what else LOL
wanted to start at 12-1ish but started at 4
BIG thanx to Hardeep for helping out today...would only have got half done if he werent there! 2 pairs of hands are better than one!
oh and we managed to take some pics
this was the start of the day
and the back looked about the same
at the end....
cant put the dash in yet until the alarm goes in hopefully this week though!
its actually starting to look like a car again
oh and 2 gorgeous shots of the UNCUT paint
again...hardeep thank you for popping round....Jack...flawless work mate! cant wait till its cut

fomoco...im only a student mate...am on holidays now so can work on it all day and not worry
PPSSSHH...they were about 45-50 each from Ford...however, they are very thin for some reason...i can now see why Fords are prone to rusting!! if i knew GENUINE ford parts were going to be like that i would have bought pattern parts!! even the complete slam panel seemed a bit weak compared to the old one the sprayer said!
nickateen....that black bag did wonders mate...amazing how strong they are with paper inside them...gonna carry it round with me all the time just incase i get a flat

Hey everyone....BIG update now
right completed the following work today:
heater matrix
clutch ratchet
all the air vent piping cleaned and put back
started cleaning the bulkhead area
generally spent the day being lazy and cleaning parts lol...didnt have much energy today so went sleep for a few hours inbetween the work LOL
not updated many pics yet so heres how the last 2 days went:
heater matrix was leaking so time to remove the air box thing and replace (so easy with no dash )
theres the culprite
heater box cleaned up and matrix put back into place (after the pic was taken PMSL )
then cleaned everything up inside the car...well on the bulkhead and put the matrix back...clutch ratchet all fitted to...but no pics as the one i took came out blurry
after that thought i would clean the bulkhead from the engine side seeming as though the heater motor was out any way
then thought i might as well carry one cleaning
then finished off here
tomo will carry on putting everything back and sorting some wiring out
heres some pics while the garage was open
dont you just LOVE the deepness of the red:
forgot to add...am spraying these bits to (minus the stereo lol)
bring on tomo for the alarm to be fitted and hopefully the rest of the interior!! then sat and sunday the paint is going to be cut!!!

Hey there...time for another update me thinks...
alarm got fitted on friday night and is all running spot on...cheers Harbs!!
today Jack came round and we started to flatten the paintwork down and polished it back up...
after seeing the car SOOOO shiny after sooo long my heart break when i saw it like this:
PMSL!!!
after being assured by jack its gonna look amazing when polished i decided to stop crying PMSL....a few hours went and then jack started to buff up the paint...into this
things were looking AMAZING again!!
then he said it still needs to be polished LOL...so we got polishing...soon as the polish was off i washed the car down but by then it was very dark and couldnt really take many pics (will take more tomo)
paintwork is second to none! cant believe its so close to finishing now!!! will do some more bits and pieces tomo to the car and order some more things before i go on holiday to Dubai on tuesday....so unfortunately the car will not be worked on till i come back a week later
as i walked back into the house i saw this lol
they will be flattened tomo and then buffed up when i come back then everything will be fitted back onto the car and its the outside COMPLETE......i hope
