Ive no plans to run it on track unless Greg twists my arm enough, he thinks with a few tweaks & him driving it would be mega fast at a track like Coombe, who knows what the future holds.

I thought the resto was over but when driving the car it had several electrical gremlins. One electric window failed to kick into life after 4 years standing could not find the fault so ran two new wires around the problem & it burst back into life. The electric mirrors were easily fixed they wernt plugged in . The instrument lights were on all the time & had to be rerouted to the correct fuse to function as required.
Then moved my attention to the Nitrous install in the boot, decided i didnt like it so ripped it all out including the wiring . Switch on Autocad & came up with a plate to tuck the Nitrogen bottle out of harm way using the cage as fixing points. Then moved the Nitrous bottle 11/4" to the right which looks much better . Have ordered the metal from ebay cut to size so it will all happen in a week or so. Ive resprayed the bottles & will take a pic when its all installed. Mark is talking about moving up to 2bar soon so the performance fun should start soon.

Crap 0-60 of 4.09 improves 0-100 6.86 & then starts to be fast 0-150 12.6 then 0-180 17.8 & a stomping 0-200 in 24.5. Im afraid you cant use that sort of grunt on the road or the death sentence would be brought back .

This car RULES!! Will you be featuring it in a mag when you go for your top speed run? I rekon you should do ten of the best, teach a few japs a lesson.

I want to get a feature without a Topspeed run because i believe few Cossies have been built to this Spec & should get a feature because its good not because its fast.

Fitted the 'push' Nitrous system today, thanks to XSport for welding the bottle holder to the boot floor literally at a minutes notice, drove in, asked & it was finished in 15minutes thanks lads.
The Nitrogen bottle is mounted on the cage & can be remotely opened from inside the car the gauge will register 100bar (1500psi) when its filled.
The Nitrous bottle has quick release pins so it can be easily swaped.
The picture are crap because it was getting a bit dark &its half in the garage.

could you explain how the nitrogen works in your n2o system.

I know you mentioned this is a push system, at first i imagined that it would fill the n2o cylinder while your on the button to maintain pressure in the bottle

Being that when compressed n2o becomes a liquid the 2 would remain seperate, but then you would need to entrances for the n20 bottle, a lower one for the n2o to come out and a top filled one for the n2

I dont agree with that 99.9% of its usage is not on a runway, its hacking about the local roads & driving to shows. Im deffo going to get a feature without a Topspeed run if thats possible. Any attempt at a new record will possibly not be covered by a mag as i want to enter a competative event like Vmax a pit the car against the fastest in the UK, I realise it wont win, but hopefully the car will set a time near 215.

Who organises vmax? Is there a website? Whatever you do with it, make sure you teach the japs a lesson.

Red Victor doesnt enter Vmax , if it did it would win .
3 Porsches head the way with the fastest Speed in 1.5miles all modified by 9ffs one reached 223 & the other 2 did 222mph so far out of reach its criminal my aero dont allow me to get to those Speeds . No one else over 216 in that distance in the UK. It would be good to reach the Top 5 of all Street cars over that distance in the UK, have to beat 213.8mph.

With the wing removed an Escort Cosworth is much the same as a Saff. Both require circa 700/720 horses to pull 200mph in the confines of Brunters with resonably correct gearing.

Thats correct, the bottle valve is modified to allow the nitrogen to be pushed into the gaseous area about the nitrous, it doesnt enter down the dip tube like it would if t'd in on the same fitting.

Well 550miles already covered have even used it to go to the shops.
Have had 3 problems surface one of which was pleasant for a few seconds .
Had a Accuvolt Fuse blow on way to Dunsfold show fixed with a piece of wire as it was an American fuse. Comming back from Surrey meet in very heavy traffic blew the fan fuse, thanks to Dojj & another Surrey club member for stopping but i was OK & a replacement fuse had me mobile in a few minutes to rejoin that choas called the M25 when an accident had occured. I will replace all fuses as they have been stood for 4 years & obviously not making the best of contact.
The third problem happened comming on to the M3 i acclerated as hard as my 1.2bar would allow & the car simply took off for a few seconds had lots of Boost before hitting the Boost limiter only showed 1.8 bar but im beginning to realise that 2.5 is going to be rather silly. When i have the time i will visit Mark for a Boost increase.
