90 Spec S2 Rebuild - NOW FOR SALE
i bought this last week as something to do over winter, 90 spec red s2, freshly painted,
been buying a few things for it already, got leather interior, going to fit my old steel cvh out of my 16i, just efi management with a cossie t3, nothing to major, just a nice pokey RST

put the rear screen in, lights etc as im waiting on konis and bolts before i start re attaching suspension etc

fair few projects on the go, this one, the escort is a never ending project, lol and a rwd mark 3 in progress too.
Thw workshop is mine yes, i am in the steel trade so i built it myself,
with regards to wheels etc, im not too sure yet, i got a few ideas in my head, sticking with tradtional style as opposed to some chav halfords special.
Stripped the bottom end today as it was low on oil pressure when removed form the car, found all bearings fooked, stripped the pump down and there was evidence of something had gone through it and damaged it. few tiny bits of swarf in the sump, all this from a nakered lifter
but on the goodside of things, the steel rods and wossner pistons, along with the bores and all minty mint so its simply a crank grind, bearings etc, new oil pump and a s2 water pump and a mint bottem end assembled

dave, ive got all the parts for it in boxes, a lot of boxes, i got majority of bits lying around in the garage anyway, and my mates nakered rst is getting stripped too so i can pikey some bits form that too
mark, i know, she been around lol, i'll be needing an alarm when the time comes if your up for it?

crank dropped of today for grind, ordered full gasket set, oil and water pump, ive sourced my head and inlet, got turbo, bought some konis,
watching a few bits on ebay for it, when im feeling flush i'll buy the major stuff
also, been and got a brand new bolts for te underside

the 2 mk3's you can see are not mine, the red 16i is my old one which now belongs to a friend and is just getting a fresh engine and battery tray.
The white s1 on the right is DazC's of here
and the mk3 in the distance is a ongoing project between me and daz, think my saff and escort were outside when i took the pictures.

all powder coated suspension fitted, along with konis, hibs built up with brand new bearings,
i just need to get some lowering springs now and then its rolling, picked up a donor car thats been half stripped, got it home and its a little minter so i going to have a good red s2 shell up for sale soon if any one interested.
pics to follow as my phone camera has gone goosed, so i think its about time i went and bought a good one
