Get a thread up mate or post pics of yours on here, sure there isn't that much difference in the grand scheme of things, both built by the best in the business

Thanks will do. Spent the afternoon taking the ill fitting rear seats out of it. Mine is just an out and out toy so no need for them. What's shows do you plan on attending this year?

Can't be more beautiful than your threesome with Coley and Dingle
@ Jimbo
That's been like that since 2003, even before I had something with an RS badge
@ Ollie
The big one I'm gunning for his Gatebil @ Rudskogen, but Ford Fair and a few track days are on the cards

That's it mate. U might be able to fill in some of the details I'm missing. Previous owner gave 10 pounds short of 30 k for it. It had a full rs interior in it but it just wasn't fitted right. Got all the right bits there. Just need a 200 block if anyone knows of one

I didnt pay half that for it. Bloke before me had his pants pulled down. It blew up on him after only 30 miles had the bottom end rebuilt by mad and gave up and sold it. He lost so much money. Blocks seem hard to come by

Nah mate, well I'm working on the brakes and that, so hopefully have a little update there. Otherwise, the swirl pot tank was pressure tested after I strengthened up the welds and polished them off....spot on now The pipework has arrived for the cage, so that'll be next.
As for your car, proper wheel drive Its a very nice car, between that and Ian's old Reyland example, they're what pushed me towards one

Not really bud, after all mines always been on the road and you boys are trailing by years But been looking for the hard to come by 325x28 for a very long time, luckily Marc came to the rescue. Its only running circa 380-400 so anything bigger and heavier is pointless IMO, my car gets used hard. Each to their own though

I just took the logical and sensible route, despite the fact it was stripped down and restarted....but I'm sure no credit will come from that I'm still not fussed that I bought one done by the best in the business, I know its right, if not then I'm sure it would have rolled into a field well before now. But the brakes comparison is neither here or there, I'm sticking with what works really, don't need to compensate for anything, so each to their own
Who's building your engine Dingle?
UPDATE
Got home from work and my nice little home made swirl pot has arrived back from being pressure tested. Polished up a bit and it'll work a treat. Will make a power steering tank next, sort the cage and the brakes and I'll be happily done.....for now
