Like you say John, things wear, even Supra diffs The 7.5 has been clunking lately just like my diff before it, which isn't surprising since I always give it abuse, launching, burn outs etc in the last two and a half years since it's been fitted. Surprised it lasted this long.

For a price yeah Otherwise I'm keeping it as another spare, nice to have something with a Ford logo. But it will need a freshen up now.
Are you on about the LSD front bearing pre-load?

Think I'll keep it, nice to have something with a Ford logo
Just say preload or backlash, makes it easier, you say shit that makes it more complicated than it has to be Front preload turned out to be 8kg-cm. I'm assuming it's been rebuilt at some point and had a new bearing spacer but reused the bearing as it should be around the 16kg-cm mark? Anyone confirm that?

Because i don't mean preload or backlash , I'm asking how much torque pressure you can put on one side ( shaft flange ) with the other side locked , before it starts turning ?
You have just had the diff checked , you will be given this figure from them . Other wise you have no idea how the lsd will be.

i know alan has been banned but for all the followers i thought an update would be cool, alan has been down this weekend and have been out in the focos and its alot of fun with the supra diff!
Didn't like the brake air ducting I did on the other grill, so bought a matching honeycomb grill and 2 ramp pipes. But had to trim them down to shape. Look great, a lot more subtle
Mines sitting pretty at top of the drive, but can't go anywhere because I need 2 new exhaust bushes
Can't thank Mark @ MK Motorsports enough for all his hard work in developing this kit. Amazing craftsmanship and beyond helpful with any issues that needed resolving. Legend!
MOT'd up, new oil in diff and the usual tinkering done for another year. Thanks SCS

Gave both of them a wash and polish today after a bit of work on them. I like my driveway now
On returning from the Nurburgring on Tuesday, I noticed someone (probably accidentally) nudges my door and dented it quite badly underneath the handle. By Wednesday it was in the body shop and it was back in my garage by Thursday morning....committed OCD
Had my wheels re-powdercoated as they started to look a little tatty. Then replaced the Ford Racing boost gauge with a Stack one (which we all know is exactly the same gauge ), at least the dash all matches now
Ripped out the last of the carpet, just got too annoying. Took the grinder to the floor to get any surface rust up (none really) and threw some rust eating sealer in typical spots and painted. Rubbish pics, but it does look good in real life. Will leave it for a few days before I get time to throw seats back in.*
Marc Kinsey's kindly making me some nice rally style foot rests to put in it, similar to what he made in his Fiesta. Good egg!
Ready to roll...
On stand early...
Marc Kinsey aka Kinzy Motorsport kindly knocked me up some nice alloy footrests, which now has some grip tape attached to them. Top job matey and very quickly done, thanks again!
Oops!
New flocked dash on the way, so my original black one's up for grabs if anyone wants one. Few patches here and there, nothing major IMO.*
Fitted my new flocked dash this morning, quite happy with it, still need to adjust a few bits and bobs here and there. Just waiting on my Pectel monitor and I'm happy with the interior for the time being. Can't remember where I put my stereo though
Decided to keep my helmet, only the best will do
Sorted a matching braided loom plug onto my original loom to connect the monitor, the monitor arrived and I got to work making a template for the surround. Sent the measurements off to Marc Kinsey so he could make it out of alloy, since I don't have a sheet bender to do it myself.
Looks great I think, but will need to paint it in satin black first.*
Finished my little mount for the Pectel monitor. Just need some longer bolts with caps that are a little more flush. Otherwise, does the job well
Popped down to SCS to get my ECU and have the trusty Focus RS MOT'd. Little tinker passed
Got home and plugged the ECU in and got the monitor up and running. All good, just need to adjust the TPS and waiting on a plug to connect the exhaust temp sensor.*
And my favourite.....
Fitted my billet fuel rail, but still need a couple of bits to finish it all off. The same story with the interior, quite happy with it for now. But need to clean it before putting it away in the garage for the next 6 months *
Thanks to Jimbo, Marc Kinsey and Mark MK Motorsport!

Got a bit of work done today, just trial fitting and prep work before paint work etc. Poor angle of the wheel shot when I fitted it over the brakes, the rotor looks small......but its actually huge! A few millimeters to spare too between the inner wheel and caliper
