Had issues with my Stack ST700R i.e. broken needle and a few other bits, so easier to buy another since repairing it would cost near enough the same. So sold it and bought Fudgey's one which is perfect! Thanks pal

ATL Fuel and Autometer Boost, the rest are on LCD display on the Stack. I'm only using Oil Press, Water Temp and Battery on the Stack, room for more sensors on it

Yeah, I just did a few bits here and there and had it painted from the windows down. The roof and that were fine and just needed a good buff up.
Its a completely different car to 3 years ago
Do you still have the Rouse?

Fellow i know offered me good money for it, so its gone. But its on piston heads now cause hes decided to move away... I got one of Paul Linfoots 500s it looks like its going the same way as the rouse lol

Work in progress, but almost there. Need to sort a few additional sections to the cage, as well an adjustable rose jointed strut brace and to paint the cage. At the mo its in its rust free coating.
Decided on building strong box sections and allocating plates to bolt the cage in all 4 points.

Nah fella, back seats still staying in for now. The only bits left to add in on the cage now are the feet for the rear turret pipes and 2 pipes to join the bottom of the hoop to the bottom of the rear pipes. So its like a triangle if you get me. Otherwise its making a seperate strut brace

50mm and 3mm thick. Aye, its proper chunky, but looks good and mega strong
I was thinking just a nice simple black to keep it as subtle-ish look as possible.

Nah, its the beginning. Its just stupid to have a car like this and no roll cage. That's why I'm keeping the seats in and painting the cage black. It will be obvious, but not as obvious as the general roll cages. I've built it as close to the lines of the interior as possible to try and keep it looking like a factory fitment...but you can't tell just yet
@ Graham
I share your sentiment mate, but if you ever need cutting out of it (god forbid) you'll be glad it was there!

Doesn't make a difference which side bud, seen plenty on both sides. Just as long as there's a bar there that links the hoop, even a straight pipe from one end to the other, it provides the strength But I'm undecided about making a X in the main hoop since I have so much pipe left over

Even before the cage, nobody would ever be allowed to sit the back Its not because I didn't want them there, its because it'll make the arches scrape
I still want to maintain some of the sleeper look, so hopefully the black paint will just make it look as subtle-ish as the wheels

Unlike yours bud, mine isn't welded into the single layer foot well. Mines on the box section where the bench sits (with an actual box built-in between 2 layers of the floor). I wanted to ensure the rear seats can stay in, so its built to hug the seats and rear cards under the windows.
So IMO looks better through the windows, its stronger, built so it allows full movement of the chairs without any risk of smacking your head and its easily removable in and out of the car. Simply tilt it 90 degrees onto the dash and take it out (with someone's help though).
As for the welds, can you not see them on the the other pics? Basically thick welds you'd expect from a Clarke MIG 150 on gas. But to add a bit of touch, high build primer and 2k gloss black is going on it. So will look well trick

If she's anything like my wife, she probably sees cars as A to B's and hates the smell of petrol Do it mate, implement some stability in the chassis and more importantly, endless amounts of safety.
Aye it's pretty chunky, but in the car around the seats, it looks ideal. Just right
