My MK3 Fiesta Zetec turbo build....
#206
Right, I've not updated this in a few days as I had other things to attend to at home.
So?...I will make a list of things that need done and things that I would like to do over the next few months.
NEEDS
- Oil & filter change(fully synthetic)
- oil leak fixing...think its the current filter or the sump?
- wire speedo sensor to dash - require a plug to suit the sensor in the box
- finally get my CAN link to work - I have file from Race Tech so should just be a case of re-flashing the unit
- fit dash centre panel and fit FRS starter button and mount DASH2 switchs
- take back to Sitech for map tweak
WANTS
- new bonnet preferably FRST with cut down front end to aid cooling
- Autoflock front splitter
- new tyres
- new earls braided turbo oil feed hose(just cause it will look good!)
- tidy up wiring loom - remove and refit over braid and label etc
I haven't used it in a few days due to the weather and the requirement of an oil change is on my mind.
It needs a good going over with some cutting compound and a DA so when the weather picks up I'll try and sort that too.
On a last note I sent over some pics and a spec list to Fast Ford to get a feature so fingers crossed they will get in touch.

My first trackday in the fiesta can be explained in the next picture....
As you can see above my downpipe snapped in half on the back straight at Knockhill yesterday on my second session, I absolutely crapped myself as it sounded as if my bottom end had gone but it was just my exhaust trailing on the ground!
So day over...or not?
Managed to get down to Sitech, thankfully only 10 miles away where they were having a RR day with ZSOC and after I stripped it down Nick welded it back up for me and I got back up to Knockhill for one last session before it got dark!brilliant service again and I can't thank him enough, so cheers Bezo(again!)
I don't have any pics of it on track but a few of it waiting about...
It went very well I thought, grip was an issue but that was a combination of nearly worn tyres, cold and wet weather so I k ow it can be better. It's plenty fast!...was in a group with Dalsy, john Armstrong etc so mad fast cars. Brakes will take some effort to know how they work best.
No overheating issues, still slight oil leak from sump so need that fixed.
I will fix all of the above for early next year.

Right, I've not bothered to update this recently as not much has went on but I noticed I hadn't posted a few pics of some work my brother done for me in the summer. He drives trains for a living but builds trailers and small agricultural bits and bobs on the side.
Check out his website or his facebook for more work.
This was only 45mins work and is more than just a folded piece of metal, it's shaped perfectly over both ends.
If anyone wants one e-mail him direct.
If I keep the car, which I am in much debate over at the moment, it will get a new gearbox mount and some extra bits to the cage over the next few months.
The front brakes are olso off for a rebuild/paint.
