Nice work Marc.

If you can find someone with a folder you could cut out 90% of the welding

Yeah I know mate, going to try a small vice folder to fold both the long sides so I only have to weld the short sides and legs or might buy a 2ft box &pan folder that I've seen then I can fold the lot & just weld corners and legs

We both know that's not gonna be the case as there's always something to do but yeah hopefully tinkering rather than repairing

Nice one Marc. We have a 3 foot folder, makes jobs like that really easy, I really do need a guillotine though as chopping up large sheets is slow progress

Forgot to update that the new custom intercooler was ordered with pro alloy the other week and should be with me in another week or 2,

Going to be the exact same size as the pro alloy radiator, this time with the thicker 65mm core and the inlet and outlet coming out the top of the cooler at 90 degree bends,

I will then seal the cooler against the rad and make some ducting to direct all airflow through the front bumper through the cooler and rad

Making bits like this keeps me busy when I'm not doin much on the car itself and I learn more new skills

Big thanks to Jay for sorting me out with 1 of his high torque starter motors and thanks to Dave for the info on it and wiring boots

New starter test fitted

It's a very very close fit with a big wing set up but I'm going to fully seal this terminal and put it on a mil plug 4" down the line so the nut and stud terminal can be seal in heavy duty and not risk of it touching anything,

Looking great Mark, Love the final tool tray with the holes in it!

How did you swage the holes?

And for the starter motor, have you thought about getting a " half " nut and shortening the threaded stud a few mm, or is it already a slim nut on there?

Looking great as usual Mark.

Hi Gary,

Cheers for the comments mate

I have a set of dies I use in a hydraulic press or vice to swage the holes

As for the starter, it's currently still a full nut with full stud so I may look into it
