oh and the most trick thing but the current diff realease is the fluid for the diff release which is brakefluid , the reservoir for the fluid is the actual handbrake lever so the lever has fluid in it ; )

Had some parts turn up from Malcolm & Mike at Dewitts this week
no pics today but i had the new bumps stops and wiper seals turn up for the Bilsteins so i can build up the shocks along with new M10x1 nuts to secure the insert in the case,
I also got my new rose joints from McGill Motorsport and the wrc tca adjusters from Dewitts
The problem i have no is that these new adjusters are roughly 30mm longer than the threaded insert in the tca, so i had a look inside and it is bottoming out on the un-cut part of the insert, due to the expense of buying an M24x1.5 left hand tap i put a help post up to see if someone could lend me 1 and Mark from MK Motorsport has offered to post me one tomorrow so i can tap the rest of the insert right to the bottom so big thanks to Mark
7.25" flywheel that came with the ap clutch i just bought but now may be getting another one with alloy cover so going to sell the clutch but keep this flywheel as it will suit the new lug mount alloy clutch
Thats all for now

the clutch i got off ebay that i linked to is being sold on Mark, as i am getting a alloy cover lug mounted type now, as for drive plate materials i have not looked into that yet
The flywheel pictured above come with the ebay clutch but the bolt pattern is same as lug mount so i can keep and use the flywheel as far as i know

I have no idea what Dewitts charge to supply the M16 rose joints, i always get my rj's from McGill Motorsport as they are excellent qulity and one of the cheapest around with free next day delivery
All the rose joints on Andrews focus he got from McGills and that car was pushed to the extreme so if they were good enough for that, there good enough for me

Also decided now that due to one of the Front bilsteins being faulty (think the case on one is bent as it does not extend on its own after compression, you need to pull it a bit then it will start to extend, but its fine outside of the casing)
I am going to run the group a 6 bolt transit type bearing hubs all round,
I have sold my old early style 5 bolt uprights/adapters and 2wd bearings and will be replacing with 4 new billet uprights from Mark at MK Motorsport and proper large grp a type bearings using a sleeve over the standard flange to suit the bearing,
I have looked into this and asked Mark's opinion mark also spoke to someone building back up a grp a/wrc car who have both added input that there is no disadvantage of running a sleeve that is machined and fitted properly, as long as it never spins on the flange i suppose, but there are benefits of running bigger bearings, also the early flanges from ford for some of the 5 bolt uprights were sleeved by ford themselves so it cant be that bad a thing.
I was always considering this but was going to wait till car was done but due to the faulty front damper i have decided to do it now,

Thanks mate
Big thanks to Mark @ MK Motorsport as he sent me through an M24 left hand tap so i could tap further down into the ends of my tca's as the adjuster were bottoming out with nearly 40mm left out!
Now all sorted and they screw in fully
Thanks Mark

A few things happening mate,
New group a cases are on their way, along with freshly rebuilt bilstein inserts thanks to Tony @ www.touringcarspares.com
These are the same as i currently have on the rear as i have decided to go gravel uprights all round.
Mark from MK Motorsport is working his magic on some parts for me, ever helpful as always and great prices
New billet uprights and grp a type bearings
new front steering arms and all mounting hardware
Sleeving standard front & rear flanges to suit grp a type bearings
Possibly looking at making me new rear steering arms to suit 18" wheel
The other major thing is i kind of have a date for the car to go up north to Gaz for paint, i should have an exact date to drop it off in the next couple of weeks so really need to make my mind up about the color lol
That's all for now

I spoke to Gaz after seeing his work on Richie's car and he was very interested in getting involved with something a bit more fiddly with my kind of cage and kevlar/glass panels etc, also the price he come up with sound good, and the final thing that appealed to me the most is that he seems to stick to his deadlines 99% of the time. I have had cars painted in the past that they say will take 3 weeks only to still have no car 3 months later.
If i am lucky mine will be in after beefy's is finished as i do not think Rob with the 106 cossie is ready for the paint work yet.
I have thought about the Audi Lava Pearl that Richie used on his escos
What do you think?
Opinions please people?
I hate choosing paint color for a car

Not seen a Fiesta in the blue Stian Hafsengen used on his WRC Gatebil Escort, otherwise that Audi colour above is amazing!
You could stick with frozen white which will look amazing and gives you an option to vinyl it, or go for the AG Motorsport livery

Cheers for the comments opinions guys, it seems dark is the general consensus, just hard to choose which color, shade etc but i best hurry up and decide lol,
Beefy - thanks for the offer mate, but it may not be me taking it there as someone has offered to collect it for a fee so i am unsure what to do yet but will let you know, and Gus no longer has his truck to tow with..........think he was fed up of towing me from 1 end of the country to the other
Quick update....
Got me front group a shock through from Tony @ Touring Car Spares today,... thanks Tony
These are in great nick and are exactly what i was after for going gravel uprights on the front,
new ones to go on the front are on the left and my other ones that go on the rear with the bladed anti roll bar bracket on the right
Just need to paint the bottoms black to match the others but can not do that until i have my camber washers etc back from laser cutters and welded in place same as the rears,

hey mk problem with rad and intercooler is easily sorted mate just buy a proper Wrc Escort intercooler mate there small and they sit infront of rad close to front bumper if you look at this pic underneath the numberplate that is the intercooler and a radtec rad sits behind it with a fan on either side of rad and touch wood ive never had a problem with
#1395
Yeah the rad and cooler set up us no problem, it will be fine even if I leave it as it is, ally ran 650bhp in his orange fiesta with a set up lime mine with no issues so I will have a play with different set ups in the near future.
Cossy909 - that is an awesome photo, gonna print that off and put it on the garage wall next to another photo or yours I have getting air

Looks great with orange and black,
Don't suppose you have a spare bonnet vent do you? Having real trouble sourcing a proper jwrc one like yours, if I can't get 1 soon I will just do cut outs in the bonnet as it going for paint in a week or so
Thanks
Marc
