Too soon for ford fair mate I'm afraid, not by much I don't reckon but a little,

Got a few hours on it last nite, first time in a while due to new
House and stuff but still love working on it,

Decided the race tech dash looked crap in the binnacle, was hard to mount and just generally not happy with it so I welded up an ally bracket and got it properly mounted on the column

The bracket will look a bit better after powder coating and I will also make up a small sun shade to go around the dash to make visability better at all angles

Back on it tonight to re fit rest of fuel and oil hoses

Thanks
Marc

Hi Mark

Hope all is well mate,

I know what you mean but dash is staying for now, I don't quite want the full bare look yet, I think it looks ok as per the current wrc cars with the dash just a blank flocked in fill

I know that feeling mate,

Once the wiring is done and paid for i still have to tax it, mot it, change insurance from laid up to road cover and then get it set up on the hub dyno and then a full geometry set up then a set of road legal tyres....

That's at least another 2k

Thanks mate

Plan on using it for track and maybe eventually a sprint or something like that but definitely not selling unless it's for 50k

Yeah it weighs about a kilo as it's so cut out, this way I can always go for the stripped out look at a later date to change things up a little

Ditto that.. I added mine up the other day. Just did it casually with all the main bits and prob missed a few things here and there, and Christ I got a shock !!!!!

Few more bits done tonight

Good things

Filled fuel tank
Built up oil pressure and filled the laminova by using a cordless drill on the oil pump hex key

Bad things

Filled reservoirs with fluid to bleed brakes/clutch and the concentric cylinder is leaking which means gearbox off

And pedal box had leaking banjo's due to shit thin crush washers so had to drain and mop all that lot up,, awkward/annoying/frustrating but all part if these sort of cars an what we do so nothing I can't deal with

Got a full day on it tomorrow

Yip, just time taken - lack of interest - grief and id rather the funds to put elsewhere to be honest, if the shell sells or the engine then the lot will go.

Rob - everyone has there limits with these things ay,

Caddy shack - I don't know your circumstances with your car in the shop etc but 6 months would piss me off too, I try to always strongly stipulate a date things will be done by give or take a few weeks for genuine hold ups as there always is things that can't be helped, mine should be back in 4 to 5 weeks

I did but then the goal posts were moved by me for extra work so it is hard to tie it down but it needs to be finished soon.
