It really is a great way to make alloy or steel pipe you can create quite complex bends with very little effort, the welding part obviously takes up the most of the time thou.

Here's titanium exhaust headers off a Harley for example:

They do look good though but not as much misalignment and in/out movement as the wiggins allow
I haven't tried them myself but they do tend to get good reviews in the states I'm very tempted to buy 3 x 3" and 1 x 2" and make some alloy boost pipes up thou and try them out.
It works out at Ł157 for all 4 x fittings including shipping.
But I'd imagine they be some import tax on top of that but way cheaper than Ł900 plus for the same 4 x Wiggins fittings from Lister Motorsport.

Rich - that's some serious work in the exhaust there

As for them clamps, they are cheap enough to make it worth trying but I'm gonna save that till the cars on the road, maybe a winter upgrade when all else is done.

Smiley - yes mate, MK done the pulleys for me and I got them anodised myself

Tested the first 2 coolant pipes for leaks,

Upto nearly 50psi which is over double what the coolant system will ever see

The first 1 I made had a small pin hole in 1 place which is why pressure
Testing is important as its a real pain in the arse finding these things once the car is filled with new fluids to have to drain the lot all over again

Quickly filled that and it tested all good so will now start the third one

Rich - just had a look and them Pegasus clamps only go down to 2.5" so no good for my coolant pipes anyway unfortunately

Very tempted to just get the wiggins now and have done with it once and for all, no risk of any leaks or doing up poxy jubilees ect lol

Too be fair I'd go with Wiggins Clamps all day long if you can justify the price mate.

I have read all of this from start to finish since Sunday and I can honestly say I am envious, jealous and in total awe at the quality and finish on this whole job. I want!

I hope to see this car at one of the shows this year, do you think you will make Ford Fair? Would be amazing to see it in the flesh and I'm sure you will have a que of people wait to talk to you and see the car in person.

All the best for the future mate & thank you for the inspiration to save my pennies for my own 600bhp 4wd Puma build in a few years time!!

Made a simple manifold support bracket but need to get the curved washers for it to allow a bit of movement/vibration

Also going to put a longer stud through the mount as its a bit short now

Car is going to Peter Bennett and the guys at "MDV Specialist engineering" this Friday so they can set the car up geometry wise/spring rate wise and corner weighting

Then the plan is to then get the car dropped to Fms on the way home where tommy will put some boost into it, maybe 1.5 bar max for now to save the gearbox for a while, set up the closed loop fueling now I have my ntk lambda then we will take it for Mot
