hi,well been away from the ford scene for a while now,and i did lose all intrest in cars alltogether,but ive recently started to get into it all again!

a few months back i got a run around st24,and to put it nicely its a nail!!and instead of buying a half decent st thought sod it,ill rebuild this one completely and redo everything on the car from scratch

plan is to get the engine out,get it rebuild with a nice turbo on it,sending it over to topboss in derby for that to be done,ill do all the body work myself,and a full respray in ford frozen white,not sure wot the best suspension set up ect for the car is so i will need to do some research on that,but would like to run it on 18's aswell

also would like to put it on the track and take it to shows,so hopefully this time next year it should be about ready for the road!

hopefully the car will feel brand new when done heres a few pics,started stripping a few bits off it today

let me know wot you think and any advice and help along the way will be great!

kool project mate, was just thinking if your gonna turbo it might be better off trying to find a 3 litre block from a st220 then starting form there, i heard of other people doing similar projects with impressive results. good luck

 

cheers,yeah i spoke to topboss and they said to stick with this engine,only after upto 300bhp so should be ok witht the 2.5

hoping to get more stripping done this weekend

Good luck with this mate will be keeping an eye on it.
just out of interest how much is the turbo conversion and whats involved and what turbo etc (pm if you like) I have just bought another ST24 engine for mine and just got ST200 Lower and upper inlets manifolds so will be getting things started on that and would like more power form it and been looking at turbo/supercharger etc.

 

good luck jez mate......if i can make a suggestion mate.......take the widest birth possible of Topboss. Their anything but top and wouldn't trust them with a mechano set let alone your car mate.

Just my 2p's worth, but a very close friend of mine knows all too well about them, and from first hand experience mate, they are to put politely ARROGANT and yet WANK at what they do!!
